2011 C300 4Matic Sport - Sluggishi...
Hi. I've had my 2011 C300 4Matic Sport for about 5-6 weeks now and the lackluster performance is driving me mad. It just doesn't come off the line like I feel it should. Nor when accelerating while already moving. The car has been owned by my brother and his wife. I promise you this car has not been pushed during its life. It has just 43k miles. And probably been taken to dealer anytime someone even sneezed in it. I understand 228 hp is not much. My other car is a '05 Mazda6 wagon whose hp is beyond that number, and it does weigh about 100 lbs less than the C300, but it feels so much quicker than just 100 pounds would explain
No check engine lights.I've not checked if my monitor software has an update for it, but if so, I'll hook-up the laptop and check things. I'll do a basic service, likely this coming weekend, and I have checked things like the air filters. I'll try the TCU reset just to say I did. Hoping I find something stupid on one of the plugs.
Any thoughts?

Put in your key
Switch to "on" aka ELECTRONICS, not engage vehicle
Floor pedal all the way for like 5 or 10 seconds
Switch the key to off
Turn the car on
Switch to sport mode
Drive a little aggressive
Enjoy

I do this "transmission reset" as Ive heard it called every so often. The car learns your driving habits. My wife drives...shall we say... passively.
