2002 C240

2002 C240 Key-Cluster Issue

Hello, I have a 2002 C240. I just replaced the batteries in my two keys. Now the cluster works fine with one key but doesn't work with the other. The keyless locks work fine with both. The car runs fine with both.

Any suggestions on how to get the cluster working with the other key?

your car is a W203

but what do you mean by the cluster doesn't work?/

MB cluster doesnt use immobilizer and if the SSID doesnt match cluster will still woke but the miles will be like this " ----- "

2002 C240

W203 Key Issue

Hello, as mentioned, I have a 2002 W203. I replaced the batteries in my two keys. Now everything works fine with one key but not the other. The keyless locks work fine with both. The car runs fine with both.

as far as I can tell, the systems that don't work include: cluster (everything is blank, LED screen works but stays in parked mode displaying temp, time, mileage, gear shift position), lights, power windows, wipers, moon roof, etc.

Any suggestions on how to get the key functioning again?

if both keys can START the car then everything should work

Thanks for the responses antiguangenius. I completely agree, everything should work. Unfortunately, the car runs and drives but nothing else works with the second key.
