Help needed 2013 C300 AWD Wheel Bearing Replacement
My 2013 c300 AWD Luxury sedan with 70K miles needing front driver side wheel bearing replacement. I would like to replace it myself (dealer's quote is $1200 including wheel alignment!) . I have purchased the wheel bearing (part number 221981040664). It is a single piece sealed bearing. I have tried to find videos that show wheel bearing change on C300 however none of them are similar to my C300 (typical videos on you tube show a greasy bearing and spindle, etc. they are not the same as mine). I also tried to find the relevant information on this site without much success. I have removed the dust cap, my C300 has a torx bolt under the dust cap. no green grease anywhere that is typically shown on videos. I have attached a drawing that I believe shows wheel bearing arrangement that applies to mine. I don't want to remove things until I fully understand the process.
Does any of you have access to a video or can provide the procedure sheet that provides more information, pictures, and steps for front wheel bearing replacement. I assume that I still do need to hammer the old bearing out of the hub and press the new bearing into the hub. I would also appreciate if anyone could provide the torque specs on the torx screw, other bolts such as break parts that need to be removed.
Thanks in advance for your help.
