The label bluetec goes with diesel engines. None were sold by dealers in the US, but the car could have been imported.

A US model 2012 C250 would have an M271EVO (DE18LA) gasoline engine.

Rated a 201 HP @ 5500 RPM, an increase of 100 rear wheel horsepower will require extensive modifications to the engine, drive train, and possible structural components. Some members have undertaken and completed extreme modifications of their cars and it is always entertaining to see their work. Post as many pictures as you can during this “resurrection.”

I think he's aware he'll have to modify the engine to make more power. As for the drivetrain and the structural components, why would those need to be "extensively modified"? Does M-B manufacture the W204 in multiple chassis strength levels depending on which drivetrain is going to be installed? That seems awfully inefficient! And isn't the 7G-tronic transmission used behind a variety of engines, that make significantly more torque than the M271, and in heavier chassis than the W204?

There are some mods out there for the C250, but not a whole lot of product feedback (at least, not on this forum) from actual users (as opposed to the advertising claims of the part sellers). There are a couple companies that offer tunes or piggyback tuners, I've seen a downpipe from Kleeman, I've seen a few products (intake, intercooler, etc) from ModalWorks, and others. What I haven't seen is anyone install these parts and post up some before & after dyno numbers or 1/4-mile results.

Even with all of those mods, though, I don't see you getting +100whp out of it.

Maybe I’m overthinking this, so I shortened my reply.

Adding 125 crank hp to a car with 200 sounds like a lot. 325 crank hp is not AMG level but is higher than the C350. The C250 is the lightest W204 and it may be more than just engine mass and insulation.

To me extensive is diving into the transmission. Each different version gets a transmission with individually chosen components. The 722.9xx is the core unit but supplied in 2 version with about 8 different subversions denoted by the last 2 numbers.

The C250 works as well as it does because everything works together.

That would make one heck of a street sleeper. C250 is kinda quick but not particularly fast. Post pics and things you encounter.

Mercedes Benz 2013 C250 W204
2013 C250 w204 M271 Evo I4 1.8t

Just here to give a current engine build of my c250 w204 m271 Evo. I4 1.8t
The car is generally a good car to own I’ve had nothing but fun with it. With the right exhaust setup and right engine upgrades you can indeed look at 400hp - 500hp tops with the right tune obviously.
I’ll try to give a list of all my upgrades I’ve done to my engine. Keep in note I never got it on the dyno due to my job and life in general. I love this engine it’s so simple to work with definitely user friendly with the right tools.
Here’s my Upgrade list:

Exhaust - S/S OBX Turbo Back Exhaust Kit. Comes with 3in catless downpipe one resonator and muffler(great balance of sound/performance) they in fact specify in Honda.

ModalWork - 2.5" Billet 6061-T6 aluminum Turbo Muffler Delete. Enhance flows post turbo and is the largest offering on the market

ModalWork - 2.5" Billet 6061-T6 aluminum Throttle body adapter. Enlarges opening drastically more than OEM and provides a port for running methanol

ModalWork - 2.5" aluminum charge pipe kit. Includes silicone couplers, clamps and mounting hardware

ModalWork - offers a J Line Inter cooler made by Mishimoto only applicable with ModalWork Inter cooler upgrade kit.

ModalWork - High Flow Intake Kit.
3.5” High Flow Air Filter ”K&N”, 3.5” Aluminum Intake Pipe, 4-Ply Silicone Coupler, Fully Enclosed Stainless Steel Heat Shield Box, Carbon Fiber Heat Shield Lid, Optional Black Ram Air Inlet Scoop Which I Have aswell.

ModalWork - Map Boost Tap Spacer

I chose to go with them because of there high quality engineering and because they specify in C250 a long with other C-Class whips

ModalWork does offer a catless down pipe for the c250 which I DONT HAVE it wouldn’t fit with my exhaust and would have to find a new setup.

MeganRacing - Front strut bar
Ultra Racing - Rear strut bar
UltraRacing - Brace Bar for the front member brace “under the car”

EuroTuning - stage 1 tune just to get everything working with each other will be adding a Methanol kit soon another reason I haven’t dynoed it to save couple bucks

Looking good. I’d like to see results from a rear wheel dyno.
I’m still concerned about all that power going through a transmission with internals for 200-250 HP.
