The chassis is lit
On top of the trillion things I am facing while trying to fix the car, I found out that the car has a short as well. I clamped the test light to the battery negative terminal and touched the probe on different parts of the car, the light came on dim and flickering. I checked it with multimeter and got a few voltage on the meter.
I tried the process of elimination to find the culprit by leaving the test light lit and removing the fuses one by one on on both frontal fuse box in the engine compartment and trunk box but the light never went out...There are no other fuse boxes in the car...
Would oil on wires and connectors
Runderneath the car cause a short like this?
does this connector supply the power to all the fuse box. I did not get any Voltage when I checked it

I don’t mean this as an insult, but this is a resurrection rather than a repair.
What you need is a knowledgeable acquaintance that has one just like it. Let me suggest looking into one of the chapters of the Mercedes Benz Cub if America. From your profile it looks like you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. MBCA has both a Fort Worth and a North Texas chapter.
I resurrected a mid 60s American car this way, although it was a lot less complex than Benz.
would the car Start despite the seats are disconnected and out of the car?
