Infotainment bug
Hi Everyone i am encountering a little issue that is becoming very annoying i apologize in advance if this problem has already been covered , i genuinely have tried to look for a similar thread here but with all the accumulated threads over the years it makes it hard for me to find what am looking for and i hope no one will be annoyed to see a new thread that might have been sorted in the past....
So the problem is that last night i activated the Aux via the engineer mode so i could use my phone to stream music as my car isn't equipped with BT Audio i can only do phone calls with the MB Bluetooth so i was very happy to find an alternative to it but then today am kinda starting to regret it cause for some reason now when ii open my door the music cuts off and the screen reboots then the music comes back on... And it only happens when i open my door ( driver door ) if i open any other doors it's fine then i tried to see if it was just with the Aux but it does exactly the same if i use the FM source or DVD or even simply when i am on the navigation screen it doesn't matter what i do as soon as i open my door the screen will go black , sound cuts off and everything restarts within 5-10 seconds. so after playing around with it to see what works what doesn't i decided to reset the HU but didn't solve the problem. Do you guys have any idea of what the fault could be coming from ?

I do know that there is a run on parameter that you can set with a proper scan tool that determines how much longer to keep all accessories going (windows, radio, 12v power outlet, etc.) that is over-riden when you open the driver's door. It sounds like something like that is going on.

Hi Tim , well this happens wether the engine is running or not and it all started after i activated the Aux via the engineering mode but then now even after resetting everything back to how it was before it’s still doing it as soon as i open the driver’s door the screen goes black and whatever sound that is playing just cuts off and everything comes back on 5-10 seconds later it’s like rebooting every time i open the door no matter if the engine is running or not ( obviously the car would be parked while opening the door )
