Hello! When i use my right blinker i get an error message saying check rear right blinker. The left blinker works fine and uses the clear middle slot to blink but the right side uses the red up top to show my blinker. I've taken it in for the recall, and ended up replacing my tail lights with the astra depot sequential ebay taillights and the same error happens. my right blinker lights up my fog light instead of my sequential turn indicator. i thought replacing the faulty tail lights might do the trick but unfortunately didnt.
Where should i check first? Sam module? Wiring harness? ive been asking in facebook groups and no one seems to know. Can provide pics if needed.

mercedes wanted 850$ to replace the earth wire to stock wiring, cheaper to replace taillights and do wiring myself, especially since its such basic wiring.
the recall was for the harness and bulb carrier, i got rid of the bulb carrier and bypassed the ground wiring fault by wiring earth to earth directly into each other instead of thru the harness,
the problem in my blinker has persisted thru oem and aftermarket tho, could it be the wiring isnt matched up in the harness or do i have a faulty sam ?
If it were me I would try and place everything back to complete stock. I think the issue is the original lights were not repaired to work properly before introducing a set of aftermarket tail lights that you dont even know will work properly in the first place, nevermind wires soldered everywhere.
I watched a little of that video but still not sure exactly what was done to YOUR specific set up. Photos would be good.
I would remove everything that does not belong, or come stock with the car. I would put the original bulb carriers in, or buy new ones. Im sure inexpensive mercedes clones would work also. And install new harnesses. They can be found cheap.
Im also sure we can get those aftermarket tail lights working, but would need photos to see what is even going on.
