Purple single wire hanging down from glovebox area?
Hello everyone. Finally got around to fixing my glovebox that would fall out every time I opened it. When I removed the 3 screws holding the cover under the glovebox this mysterious wire appeared. It is not the plug for the light in the lower panel. This wire is closer to the passenger side door area and goes up high and I can't see where to plug it in. The car is a 2009 C300. Does the glovebox light work? I thought the purple wire was the power for the glovebox light switch.

Thank you. This is a great find and gives me an idea on where it is. Such a bad design. I have a couple from a 90s Maxima I might just convert to the Benz. Cut a small square hole,wire the 2 wires to the Maxima switch and push switch into square hole and clips will lock it in place..done. Glove box opens and pin decompressed and light turns on..easy enough. 😀
