W204 Undertray near Exhaust- What am I missing?

I currently have two of the fasteners that hold the undertray on that are missing. I bought replacement screws and clips, but now it doesnt look like it uses the clips. Im trying to locate exactly what its supposed to look like but not having any luck. I did pull out some odd looking clip that was hanging out of one of those holes, so im assuming its supposed to press in. Im looking through all the parts diagrams but not coming up with how those screws are attached.

The two screws im missing are circled in yellow in the photo below.

Heres what my car looks like now:

Heres a photo of the piece that was hanging out of one of those holes:

Come on, Tim. Don't tell me you haven't found the part on AliExpress!

Here's a potential substitue kit for that part.

Excellent, that looks like what I need, thanks!!! I have the screws with large washers and the larger silver clips but never came across these 0019949845 before. Looks like its going to be a pain and I have to remove that upper panel to get to the hole. I drove the front end on wooden ramps I made out of scaffold planks and could hardly fit my head under there.

I came in to post this question then looked at diagrams and searched for photos of what it could be but wasn't finding anything. I gave up and worked on other things. Checked the oil, cleaned the engine bay, oiled the hood latches, wiped down the underside of the hood since it had road salt all over it, sprayed down some of the bushings under the car with silicone lubricant.

Ive been hearing some noises under there going over some bumps and found those missing screws, I can picture those panels slapping around under there causing the noise. In the mean time I stuck some foam weather stripping between the ends of the panels to see if the noise goes away.

I use the Mothers VLR on everything and it seems to work great. Spray it on and wipe with a microfiber towel. The only thing I don't spray it on is the air intake tubes with the weird material on them.

Checked the oil and its exactly at the level it was when I changed the oil a few months ago. Right in the middle of the Min and Max, there's a dot in the middle. Before I read the operators manual I would fill the oil up to the Max line, which I think is wrong. The manual says it takes 2 quarts of oil to fill it from the Min level to the Max level, so I was wondering does that mean its over filled by 1 quart if its at the Max line? I was thinking about this since all the posts from people having issues with oil in the PCV system, wondering if over time it can lead to an increase in oil in the system?

Engine bay looks really good!

Those speed nut clips usually just push into the metal frame from the bottom, so it should be easy to install new ones. Once in place, the screw expands the folded over parts to hold everything in place.

Thats what I was hoping that new ones will simply push in, maybe I can get away with working them over the panel without removing it.

I found them locally at IDParts for a decent price and its free pickup at the warehouse so Ill grab them tomorrow. IDParts deals with diesel vehicles but sometimes I luck out and they have the parts I need. Even though I have the screws I decided to pick up 2 of the Mercedes brand screws since they were cheap, came out to $7.86 for 2 Mercedes brand clips and 2 Mercedes brand screws. I've read the black screws I bought may rust over time. All the original Mercedes screws under the car look to be in great condition.

I noticed they even sell a kit with all the fasteners listed for a W211, must be the same for my car.

I still have plenty of use for the fasteners I bought, was looking through photos and noticed some rusting clips ill have to replace when I do the transmission fluid.

I finally found the 0019949845 in the parts diagram, the clip isnt shown but instead listed as an alternative part# 160 in the diagram below.

I saw the parts diagram in the EPC and the clip in the drawing (#160) looks different. Makes me wonder if they are not interchangeable.

I will say I can see a difference between the Aliexpress screws and Mercedes screws. The Mercedes are a little heavier and longer by 3mm, they just seem heavier duty. Since I can get them locally for $1 each i'll go with the Mercedes screws if I ever need more. The hole in the old clip looks enlarged and doesn't really hold the screw so I'm guessing the other side was the same, the screws just worked there way out and fell off while driving. My car is also missing the front middle jacking pad part# 0029976186 for some reason so I ordered one today at the dealer for $8.23.

The noises I have been hearing under the car seem to be completely gone now. It was a clacking sound when going over bumps in the road. I pictured it coming from the front drivers side wheel area, like a control arm maybe. Since I shoved the foam weather stripping between the panels I have not heard any noise at all. Earlier today I was driving around and I wasn't even paying attention, I forgot about the noise until I got home and realized I didn't hear anything. Later I was driving and I went out of my way to go over bumps to see if I can get the noise back and nothing. We shall see but I'm sure I would have heard it. I'm thinking it was just the panels slapping going over bumps, without the screws holding them they do move alot. I looked at the photos again and it does make sense.
