Hi guys I'm wondering what type of sealant I need for the upper timing cover housing on the c250 it looks like the old stuff was a black silicone. Also does anyone know the part number for the o ring that connects to the engine from the upper timing cover? The part I have circled in the picture

I think that o-ring may be part# 0249977445, but double check. No idea about the sealant. Try looking on FCP Euro or eEuroparts by entering your vehicle info then search for the parts. I dont have that engine.

Yeah I think you're 100% right on the part number I just ordered both and I'll return whichever one is the wrong one. You have the better engine and thank you for posting that. I couldn't find that specific diagram it kept pulling up the whole crank case cover one.

I keep coming up with Mercedes part# 003989982010 for the sealant. I could be totally wrong, so double check.
