I hope so. They are fairly plain looking...need to borrow more from the S class!
Also, I am waiting to see the standard version (star on hood, not in the grill). Haven't seen any new spy pics of that in months. However, if it looks like the below, I would be impressed. Based on the above Sport pic, I think the below is legit as well:

I think, for Mercedes , Star -especially its saloon cars- not good looking like this shot.

Hard to tell from that angle - but:
The body looks like it was stolen from an Accord.
The headlights look kind of like a BMW.
The grill is just WAY too much - whatever happened to subtlety and distinction?
The non-color matched mirrors are just plain cheap.
All in all it looks like it was put together by a comittee trying to come up with something fresh from an old parts bin - I think they have done nothing but make it look like just about every other commodity sedan on the road.

Do you guys remember the last gen BMW 325i; when it first came out, it had non-matched bumpers, mirrors, and the trunk latch was also unpainted. In order to have everything painted and matched, you had to shell out for a 330i.
I think MB is going for that distinction. Perhaps they want the base model C to look like ***, and try to spruce up the loaded model. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure that the grill (and possibly the headlights, as well) are photoshopped. If you look at the germancarfan's article, it says that the tape was removed digitally for the picture you see above. So you dont have to worry about the big ugly grill....yet

I read somewhere that all the Sport models will have the grill star and no hood star. I hate that, I love my hood star and its not going anywhere anytime soon!
I do like that picture that NYR99 posted above of the luxury version of the car, it looks nice.
