W204 Headlight assembly issue

Today I checked the fuses one by one see if any of them were blown and they were all good. Interesting enough when I plug a jump box the battery reads at 12v yet when I disconnect the jump box off the battery the car is fully dead !!!
I’ll start tomorrow with the process of elimination and plug another battery maybe that’s the issue ?

Does the battery show 12.6 V on a volt meter or a multi meter? Or is it dead without the jump box connected?
If you have good battery voltage but everything else is dead, suspect a blown fuse in the pre-fuse block. But disconnecting the headlight wiring harness really should not have caused that.
If the battery is dead to a meter, you probably need a new battery.

I bought an inexpensive battery tester to use once in awhile just to give me an idea if theres any issues with the battery. Or can use a simple multimeter to check voltage.
Charging the battery would be great if you have a charger, if not jump it then drive around for awhile to try and charge it up.
When you jump start the car be sure to not connect directly to the battery. Use the jumper points, the ground lug on the strut tower and then the positive under the little red cover.

Yes sir, I did the exact same procedure as given in the pictures as well as your instructions. Interestingly enough the battery would read me 12V when connected to the battery tester yet as soon as the tester was disconnected no signs of life from the car. I honestly just thought of going ahead and buying a new battery and sure enough the car turned back on… the headlight though is not turning on yet- I’ll be taking off again and check the factory harness pin points for current see if maybe the harness itself is done. I’ll update you guys on this as well !! Thank you guys I appreciate your suggestions !!

is the entire headlight housing not working, no bulbs light up?
Can always unclip the headlight harness coming from the car and check for voltage, check the ground also. Brown wire should be the ground. if you are getting voltage up to the wiring harness then it may be an issue with the new headlight housing.
