C300 W204 Windshied Washer Tank

I bought this 2011 C300 a couple weeks ago. The windshield washer tank was destroyed. I can tell the car had a new bumper cover installed apparently from a previous fender bender. So, the washer hose was hanging down. Looks to have been cut or severed from the accident. I gather the 2 wires in the hose are for heating the washer fluid for winter use. Does anyone know where they are powered from and are they supposed to be bare at the tank or are they supposed to get power at the washer tank? Google is usually my friend. But not this time. Cheers.

Roger

I know with option code 875 Heated Windshield Washing System there are small heating elements at the wiper nozzles but the wiring runs along the hose on the outside, not inside the hose.

Im not sure what those wires are. The heating element that heats the fluid is a large metal coil with coolant flowing through it in the reservoir.

Awwww. Thanks! That makes sense about the heating coil. Still, there is a mystery on wires in the hose.

Whats your vin? Maybe you have a different type nozzle system. Heres a 204.054 parts diagram, shows the hose then the wiring separate.

Where does the other end of that hose connect to, the reservoir?

I searched around online for "Mercedes washer fluid hose with wire" and came up with some info. Im guessing that wire is part of the heating for inside the hose.

Oh boy. Thanks a bunch. I need to dig deeper and see where these wires end up. Much appreciated.
