Check Engine Light - Error Codes 0017 & 3539 on C200 Kompressor (2009)
Hi everyone,
I drive a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor, and recently I've been having issues with the check engine light coming on.
I took the car to a mechanic who scanned it with a diagnostic tool, and these two codes came up:
Has anyone here dealt with a similar problem? I'd really appreciate any advice, feedback, or steps you took if you had the same error codes. Just want to be sure before committing to this repair.

- 0017 – The position of the exhaust camshaft (cylinder bank 1) is implausible relative to the position of the crankshaft
- 3539 – The boost pressure deviates from specified value

The advice seems appropriate for the symptoms, but before committing to this expensive repair, repost this to the W203 forum where the M271 Kompressor engine is more common.
