First Mercedes
Since this is your first Mercedes, how do you know there is "nothing wrong with it"? These cars are great, but you need to be very familiar with you specific model and the known issues. You (and any previous owner) need to be on top of all maintenance. 70,000 miles is not a lot for these cars if they have been taken care of. I have about 135,000 miles on my 2014 C350 and she runs like a charm.

In that photo above it looks like the bumper is being worked on. The plastic trim above the headlights is missing.
Mine has been good to me. Im always working on it doing something do to age and mileage. Its been a new England car so rust and corrosion take its toll on things like suspension and exhaust. i feel ive got my moneys worth.
But, if I didnt work on it myself and instead paid shops to work on it then it would be a money pit.
Replace Intake manifold
Rebuilt rear differential
Rebuild/reseal transfer case
Reseal front differential
Rebuilt/powdercoat brake calipers
Reseal oil cooler
Replace rear CV Axles
Replace rear wheel bearings
Reboot front CV axle
Replace Driveshaft flex couplers
The flex couplers, rear wheel bearings and rear CV Axles were because I had it apart already and I wasn't happy with the condition.
I love working on the W204. Parts are readily available and actually not that expensive. Mercedes are engineered pretty well and not hard to work on. If you plan to maintain it yourself, get a copy of the WIS.....
