OEM side mirror indicators - different connectors.

Hello 👋

I purchased OEM side mirror indicators, and one appears to have a different connector along with an additional attachment. I asked Facebook groups and they said its likely a connector for the puddle light.

Wondering if anyone knows why 1 has a different connector, as both are OEM. All of the photos I've seen of the oem part have the black connector as seen on the one part ending in 0821. The clear connector with the additional adapter is what's throwing me off.

I tried searching my vin on MB's site but nothing came up somehow. I'm mostly wondering if I need to go back and buy anything different if I determine whether my car has puddle lights or not?

In case anyone can pull my options list...

VIN: WDDGF81X58F187936

When I search other model MB model lights i am finding connectors like that. Have you confirmed it is the correct part# you have, maybe the wrong one is in the box? I cant zoom in for a better look.

I found this one on FCP, not for a C300. Looks similar to the one in your photo.

Thanks, that's a good lead. I double checked the part numbers on the part and box and they both check out. Is it possible that MB changed the connector? And the puddle light connector is optional? Or did i just receive the wrong part all together do you think?

Thanks 😄

When I want to see photos of certain parts I usually search eBay. All the 2048200721 and 2048200821 lights im finding have the same connectors. I didnt spend that much time looking thru all of them though.

On the light you have it is stamped 2048200721? I think your finger may be covering it in the photo.

Yes it is stamped with the correct part number. Which is why I'm so confused... I initiated the return anyway. If for some reason the part is correct, if I order it somewhere else and it should come in that form as well then so be it... I just don't feel right about it right now. Do you have a link to an OEM part ending in 0721 with the right looking connector? If not, I will continue the search.

Thanks for your help

I tried ordering part 0721 from https://mbparts.mbusa.com. Hoping the order goes through.

All of this started when Pelican parts took my order and then told me they weren't in stock, then leading me to ebay. Apparently 1/2 the seller sent me are correct..

Hopefully third time's the charm.

Very strange it has that connector. I have yet to see a 2048200721 replacement light with that connector, they all seem to have the black connector.

Only thing I can think of is a manufacturing issue and the wrong connector was put on.

I looked up your vin and you have the same 204.081 as me except mines a 2010 and I have different style turn signals in the mirrors.
