Hi
Is prepaid maintenance worth taking?

MSRP: 47,920
Discounts: 6000 includes 2500 Fleet Discount
Added 3yr Prepaid Star Maintenance
36Month /12K a year lease
Total Drive Off (Acquisition, Docs and License, 1st month Payment) 2278
Monthly w/Tax 499 w/above maintenance. Without the maintenance payment was going to be 482.00

I thought I did pretty good, but wish I had read this forum before purchasing, as it appears I could have pushed for a better deal still. Hope this helps those in the L.A. area.

I am completely new to financing. I got 1.5 % apr approval from both mercedes and my credit union. Mercedes wants me to take prepaid maintanance for 4 years for giving 1.5% apr.

If prepaid maintanance is worth it I am fine with paying.

Can you guys suggest which one should I go with.

Some dealers really jack up the price of pre-paid maint. well above MSRP (but you can negotiate it down). If he is making a low APR contingent on you purchasing 4 years PPM it sounds like he could be trying to rip you off. Have you run the math yourself to see if it's a good deal? How much would the dealer charge to do the exact same service without a PPM and then how much are you saving by purchasing it all up front? There is a whole thread dedicated to this topic where you can learn more.

If you also got approved by a credit union at the same rate, I'd absolutely take the loan with no strings attached and then figure out if you want PPM separately.

He said with out pre paid maintenance here is break down:
1st$262.212nd$662.003rd$262.214th$772.41
$1,958.83
and pre paid maintenance for 4 services is 1275.

Are there any loop holes here to rip me off?

Hi,
I am from Vancouver B.C. and no one is offering even close to the deals on this thread.

The most is $1000 on a c300 or $2000 on a c400....

In my case it was worth it. It added $17 a month to my 36 mo lease. So that comes out to $617 for the 3 yr maintenance. If however you are financing, it may not be such a good deal. With my ML purchases some time back I did prepay the maintenance and I regretted it. With the coupons offers I would receive in the mail from the dealer, I would have paid much less overall. Hope that helps.

You can get a a bit more here in the Toronto area. Around $2000 (4% on MSRP) on a C300 without much negotiating.

I'm crying (on the inside) reading these 10+% savings by our American friends.

I think what I find more frustrating is the fact that MB Canada stripped the C300 of some available options (Airmatic, Intelligent Drive Package, Ventilated Front Seats, 19 inch wheels, etc), so they can force you into the C400, while you don't have to do that down south.

The plan back in April was to make the passive LED lights standard but they withdrew that feature to squeeze $900 more out customers. My impression is that MB Canada has pretty tight price controls, aided by the fact they have many corporate stores.

Love 19" wheels
At first I was trying to find car with regular 18" AMG wheels, and am glad now there was none in color I wanted

if you are getting a white car, then get the black rims. looks much better esp if you get a tint.

I was actually referred to this sales manager by a member on here and he straight up gave me that price which I was happy about. One of the easiest car buying experiences.

I actually checked the price with the formula another member posted this thread and it the price I was offered fell exactly according to that formula haha.

Msrp-925 * 0.93 + 925 + 740
-3000
- 2% from msrp

are these C-class NOT selling at all??? I'm shopping for a new car, and here in Baltimore/DC area I've gotten 16.7% OFF MSRP, or $7,390 off MSRP. That's before negotiating at all and without any incentives or rebates.

Edmunds also says there're over 300 C300s sitting at lots around here..

I might have to pick one up soon. Wonder if they'll be even more rebates coming by end of yr. MBUSA says $2000 incentives on some models..

These discounts were predictable. Given that the car is built in the states. I just didn't expect them so soon. Now that the real price is becoming more reasonable it may be time to give the C-Class another look.

Yesterday I purchased C300. I am from texas area.
MSRP 48060 + garmin nav SD card ( 600$) = 48660 - I negotiated for 41000.

Total savings of 7660.

This forum helped me a lot. Thanks for all the inputs.

If so any contact info you can spare?

Would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

2013 C250 Sport Sedan
C300 Lease Offer, Orlando, FL

Hi there. I'm talking with a couple of Mercedes dealers in Orlando, FL about trading my leased 2013 C250 for a 2015 C300. The best deal I have so far breaks down to the following numbers:

MSRP: $53,685
Discount: $5,758 (includes discount and Winter offer)
Lien Payoff: $5,283.81 (9 months worth of remaining payments; 3 months LAP accounted for -- I'm 12 months early)
Sales Tax: $2,948.93
Tag/Reg: $348.75
Dealer Fee: $699.95
Total: $57,214
Cash due: $3,000
36 Month lease at 12k miles /yr
Monthly Payment: $763
Money factor is 0.00166; Residual 60%

I'm weighing the idea of trading this month only if this is the best deal I can possibly get between now and September 2015. If I do this now, I would be adding about $146 from my current car into the new lease ($5283/36mo). I'm not focused on monthly payments, rather I'm looking at the new car and what and when the best offer will be. If the best deal is now, I don't mind adding that $146.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Karel

I guess its specific to the market but seems like most people are getting a bigger discount. Also that is a high dealer fee!
