My local dealer says the winter incentive remains at $2,000, no doubling for December. Does anyone know a dealer that has doubled to $4,000?

The dealer also claims there is no $1000 US Customer Certificate Program. Is that true?

Thanks

I was shocked when I went to my dealer in South Florida yesterday to actually purchase a C300. He asked what deal I wanted, and I said 12% off MSRP. He said OK!. The problem is no car in stock meets my criteria. So I ordered one to be delivered in Feb. My salesman told me not to negotiate a price right now, but wait until it arrives to get more leverage for a good deal. I didn't even have to make a deposit. I have no obligation to buy it, so the Dealer would be stuck with a configuration probably no one else wants. I guess we'll see in Feb...

I was told to put down $1,000 deposit as minimal. The problem is that they said the car won't get here till March and by then nobody knows what kind of incentive is available.

My understanding is that if you order without negotiating terms first, your bargaining power may not be so great if you happen to option what anyone else may like at your dealership, or in a trade to another one. My dealer can see what's being delivered months from naw and lay claim to it unless has a deposit/owner attached. Can always negotiate front and back.

I wouldn't recommend this. You really should try to lock in the deal before hand if that is possible. End of year deals are usually significantly better than any other time. I also recommend checking inventory at other area dealers for something similar to your perfect build. You might even get lucky and find what you are looking for, though I suspect your dealer did this already. If you are flexible, it could be easily worth a couple $k and a couple months assuming they are not willing to lock you in.

Hi,

I want a car without Premium pacakge but there is none around. Have to place an order with the dealer. She told me that the car won't deliver till March, 2015. Because of that, the fleet discount of $2,500 is no longer guaranteed. I have to pay $1,000 deposit upfront and I can't get guarantee of the fleet discount. I am not sure if the dealer is just pushing me to take car on the lot.

Is this true that the fleet discount can only be applied if you take delivery in 2014?

Thanks

You can't negotiate anything on a car that doesn't exist. They want something down so they can lock you in and the order.

Here it is:

W205 Discount challenge!-img615.jpg

Technically I do have a $1,000 deposit with my credit card, but he said he will not actually charge my card. In any case it is refundable by Florida law. He really wanted to sell me a car in stock from any dealer in the country, but not one matching car came up on the search. Obviously nobody wants this configuration, so I am not worried that when it shows up he will sell it to someone else. The problem is that the dealers don't want to order a spec car because it counts against their allocation. My guy said nobody wants the options I chose, they only care about what's on the lot and the payment amounts. I am paying cash for mine, and I keep my cars a long time. I refuse to just buy what is on the lot. In any case, I could not get 12% below MSRP with an order pre-negotiated.

I am not flexible. We checked the dealer computer, and nothing even close exists anywhere in the country.

I will be putting down $1,000. However, I'd think the fleet discount is guaranteed. Otherwise the car is delivered, the price I pay might be higher.

Is the fleet discount only valid for car delivered by 2014?

Thanks

I emailed several dealers for an order and it does seem fleet discount is applied at delivery, they can vary month to month.

I got a quote for ordering with fleet discount guaranteed at about 13% off MSRP. Delivery will be March/April next year.

For an car that's on the lot, but with the Premium package, I got an offer for 14% off MSRP.

Good deal?

If anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking to purchase. Addie Kwan from San Francisco Mercedes Benz is offering a 14% discount off of MSRP through Dec. 31, 2014.

I didn't buy from her initially, I bought my 2015 C300 in Fremont with a 9% discount. When I was with her talking numbers, I didn't feel that they would go lower than invoice so I bounced out of there. The 14% discount came up because of a sales follow up email I got this week.

Just putting this out in case anyone is looking to purchase. Post back if you got the same or better discount or not from this salesperson.

Gaaahhh!! I hate it when this happens to me. I could've gotten another 5%. My loss, your potential benefit, I guess.

Yep, Mercedes is just 1,800 or so units behind BMW this year. It is going to be fun to watch. I wonder if Fletcher Jones is going to punch another 900 units on Dec31.

I'll be closing my deal in the next 7-14 days but looks as if it'll be >10% discount.

2015 C300 and GLA250
C300 Deal from Miami Mercedes

Just negotiated this deal in Miami

2015 C300 4MATIC
MSRP $47510
Selling price $41010
2.49% for 72 months

The current offer is 2.99% but that's marked up 1% from a buy rate of 1.99%, I told them I'll split it with them for 2.49%. Picking it up on Saturday. Also two weeks ago we got the 2015 GLA250 4MATIC for her, $3000 off MSRP.

Same dealer as MrLong? Did it take much negotiating to get down to 17%?

Just noticed in my area over the past week that the discounts on Edmunds have been reduced pretty significantly. Whereas many dealer were offering at least $5-$6K off, now it's down to about $4K.

Anyone notice this too?
