2016 C450
Hi all. Just registered after signing the lease last Wednesday. I picked up a palladium silver C450 w/ premium pkg, lighting pkg, interior pkg, multimedia pkg, and 19" wheels w/ summer times. Sticker was $62,860 and the final purchase price was $52,475...16.5% off!!! For the record, no markup on acquisition, doc fees, mf, etc. They also offered me $2000 more than anyone else for my trade.

On paper, they lost over $8k on the car, but the finance manager said they would get $1000 back from MB plus whatever profit from selling my trade. I shopped the deal around to every dealer in Ohio, but only this one took it. In fact, they ended up writing up a better deal than I proposed. Apparently, I made the offer at just the right time. They said the car had been there 147 days, it was the end of the month, and they are preparing for the C43 to hit the lot in the coming months. So happy with the car, it blows my former 328 wagon out of the water!

Hey everyone, looking at a lease for a loaner 2016 c300 with premium 1 & 2, pano roof, multimedia, lighting pkg with about 5.5k miles ( 3 yr 10k mi ) selling at 40995 (MSRP at ~50500) OTD is $43500. Residual is .63 and money factor is .00152. Calculated monthly payment is $410 with 1500 down. Total payments = $15855, is this a good deal? The loaner car does have a few scratches and scruffs, but the dealer said they'll try to detail it to look as new as possible.

It's fair, not good. Rule of thumb is 19-22% discount from MSRP for a used vehicle and then deduct the mileage at the same rate that the lease computes it as.

So you're saying that if those conditions are met, then that would be a fair deal?

What do you think would constitute as a good deal?

For your lease calculations get a spreadsheet template and plug it in. Also look at the MBUSA site for the current offers. MF seems a little high, I would make sure they are not padding that. I think you could lease a new vehicle for the close to the same rate. The only easy part about this is the discount from MSRP, you can do a bit better on that. For the lease details, you'll need to figure that out on your own.

Was able to use Edmund's price promise w/ fleet discount to find another deal; Selling price: 40384, MSRP: 47620 (15% off); Residual of 63% & MF of .00152 for 3yr 10k miles; $445 per month with 0 down; Acquisition fee: 1095, DMV + doc fee: $525 totaling $17115. It's 1300 more than the deal I had before, but its a brand new car, should be worth it.

just managed a 13% off 60690$ MSRP C450. Is this a good deal considering how the C450 is being replaced by C43? Should I wait for the C43?

You can wait for the C43. Don't expect anywhere near 13% off though. That's a solid deal.

I guess my question is more, would it be worth it to wait and spend my money on the c43. To my understanding its the same car rebadge right?

The C43 comes with the new 9G tronic. If you want a car that you can get for an absolute steal, get the C450. If you have to have the latest and greatest, wait for the C43. You'll be paying closer to MSRP though, and the residuals won't be as good.

You are the only one who can judge if waiting would be "worth it".

C43 Coupe
Managed to get 4% off MSRP for a new c43 coupe (Canada). Sales manager didn't want to give me a discount at first, but ended up agreeing in the end. My sales guy told me that the dealer makes about $6k (give or take a few hundred $) on each one sold. That's about ~10%.. Does that sound right?

It doesn't sound that far off for Canada, seems they have way less wiggle room, my dealer said he was basically selling it at cost for my 5000 discount he gave me. Don't believe it was at actual cost, so them still making 1000 off it makes sense to their 6000 they might make on a sale.

Is the amt(%) of the discount independent of the $1800 rebate being offered this month or is it included?

I just checked with another dealer on the c450- same non-deal. Offered 10% off, BUT said the $1800 incentive was part of the discount. Therefore, the dealer discount was only 7%. No deal

The deal on my C450 fell through today. They told me I needed to pay another $6,500 in order to get to the $450 payment we had agreed to 48 hours earlier. Back on the hunt.

seems to me that the "incentive" is for the dealer's benefit, not the customer's. The discount goes to the dealer.

I think people are going to be able to get solid discounts on the C43. early buyers were able to get solid discounts early (late) last year on C450's and the market is only softer today.

The eight dealers that I have spoken to think the car is worth more now that it's getting replaced with the C43. Nobody is willing to give more than 12% locally. I'm expanding my search. I know I can at least get 16% off.

Those 8 dealers are also trying to sell you a car they want off their lot. Don't believe everything they tell you.

Nissan Maxima
C300 Sport package

2016 C300 W4 Sport
P2 Package
MM Package
Sport Package
Illuminated star
Heated seats and steering wheel
Blind Spot
production date is 4/16

36 months / 12k miles per year
The dealer is offering 579/ month with zero on table. is it a good deal?
The residual he has is 61 and MF is .00164(its very high)
He is giving me 17% OFF on MSRP 53765.
Acquisition charge of 1095(Can we reduce this, as in website I see MB mentioning it as 795)
9.5% Illinois tax and 8% Chicago Use tax.

Does it look like a good package.. I have hopped around 10 dealers and this is only guy selling me at this rate.. Although they have so many 16s in stock, they are not budging!!
