If that's iridium, that's the Luxury model I have on order! I've trolled the entire Internet (dealers' offerings and all) looking for good pictures of an iridium Luxury model with stock 17" wheels and the lighting package (active headlights). If your car has these features (looks like it does), can you post some nice pictures in the sun (careful of reflections!), in a nice place where a Mercedes would be at home? If you can't find a country club driveway, a grassy roadside in a park will do. Also, please tell us what country you are in, so we know whether your car is the US model. Thank you.

- color: diamond silver
- European model, with an 'exclusive' exterior
- Weels are 16" (since that is what comes standard on the blue efficiency edition, even if 17" come with the 'exclusive' exterior on other models )
- Lights: LED intelligent lighting system (I love it!)
- sun: i would have to wait for next year: it is 4 degrees C here now, and gray
- country club: not sure one exists in the entire country ;-)
Hope this helps (a little?)

Thank you. I will not have AIRPANEL (MB spells it with all caps), because it is not available with the Driver Assistance Package. The louvers would interfere with the DAP sensors. I think the C–Class MBs look better without it, but the difference is small.
I am glad to see that the dark gray wheels that are standard on Luxury models contrast well with the light Iridium Silver body finish on your car. I think they will look even better in sunlight. Also, they won't show brake dust (a common complaint about MB vehicles). I installed after-market shields on the insides of the front wheels to reduce brake dust accumulation. They work well, but don't eliminate accumulation completely. They cost only $90 and don't cause brake fade, unless you are challenging mountain passes.

No. As I have stated, my C300 will not have AIRPANEL, because I have ordered the Driver Assistance Package. But I have read in the website of the Mercedes-Benz Tech Center at http://techcenter.mercedes-benz.com/...el/detail.html the following:
AIRPANEL is adjusted via the engine control unit [emphasis mine]. The radiator shutter opens when one or more of the following conditions arise:
• Vehicle speed above 180 km/h
• Coolant temperature above 105 °C
• Suction fan performance requirements over 30 %
• Cooling water temperature above 34 °C
Until the conditions named are reached, and when the engine is switched off, AIRPANEL remains closed.
The system is visible from the outside and provides an interesting visual effect.
The louvers will always be shut and, therefore, visible when the car is parked or in cooler weather. Some bloggers have stated they do not care for this effect. But in the U.S., all C-Class vehicles will have AIRPANEL, except cars that have Driver Assistance Package.

An example of good photos
Good pictures, 6G Schnell! The good backgrounds carry out the image of Mercedes that both MB and your fellow owners want to present to the world. Come on, fellow readers, follow 6G Schnell's example!
Fellow readers, your new Mercedes may be your pride and joy just because it is YOURS. But show your pride and don't make the rest of us look at your new baby in photos taken on a dark and gloomy day, in your driveway with visible trashcans, in a parking lot surrounded by other cars, or inside your dark garage. Drive to a park, a beach, a lakefront, or an ocean shore. Take photos in front of a country club or SOMEONE ELSE's upscale house. Use the sun, but watch out for reflections. If anyone asks, tell them you're taking photos for a Mercedes commercial!

And it looks like he didn't use a wide angle lens that distorts the car's proportions. Everyone needs to remember to stand back and zoom in to get a realistic photo of their car.
Great job!

I have been looking for quality, elegant photos of a Luxury model, photos that will look good as computer wallpaper. I prefer photos of a C300 similar to the one I have on order. The C300 I have on order is Iridium Silver with the 19" grey wheels that are standard on Luxury models in the U.S. There will be no sunroof, so the roof will be body color. However, I would appreciate good photos of any C300 Luxury model, any color, any wheels, sunroof or no sunroof. They need not be from MBWorld.org. Thank you!
