Is it safe to mix ethanol or octane booster with gasoline?
The recommended gasoline for W205 is ron95 but here in Egypt some gas station just have ron92, so can i use ron92 and mix it we ethanol or octane booster if the gas station not have ron95 "in critical situation only"
Thanks

Octane booster is OK but do not add ethanol (hydrous or anhydrous) unless you have a flex fuel car. It can damage elastomers & other fuel system components. Ethanol requires high percentages to achieve a meaningful rise in MON (Motor Octane Number) which is what really matters.

I don't think they would have been doing this unless it was safe for 'regular' engines.

South Africa & Brazil were running alcohol in fuels long before it became the norm in NA. We have been through all the pain and trouble it can cause. I come from a global job in the oil industry.
Alcohol is being used as a fuel extender in NA ~ not as an octane booster.
