Ordering C450

Ordering C450
Any one knows when dealer start taking order for the C450 ?
I placed an order for a loaded C400 back on 9/27. So last week, after a month of waiting, my sale person shoot me an email saying that the Air balance and the rear spoiler is not available to order because it is not on their ordering guide even though it is on the MB website !!!! I replied to her saying the spoiler maybe a dealer installed option but I know there are plenty of C400 with the air balance package from people who ordered their car way back in April and to check your system again.
She then reply the next day "oh maybe it was not there before and if I still want to order the air balance, the order may take longer". I asked her how much longer because it was suppose to be a Xmas gift for the wife and she replied that even my original order will not make it for Xmas delivery.
I got so pissed I told her to cancel my order because form 9/27 to 12/25 is a full 3 months ! How is it not possible ???
With the factory shut down for Xmas and New Year, even if I place another order at a different dealer, the car will not be here until late January or maybe February. I might as well wait 2 extra months to order the C450.
What a freaking let down after the hype......
So when do guys think the ordering process for the C450 will begin?

Damn, lucky wife...getting a Mercedes as a gift...if things don't work out with her, I'll marry you

This car is the never ending myth. There is no official MB statement regarding it and the only pictures of a Mercedes with such classification is of an upcoming station wagon. Though the C63 is already officially announced this rumored car isn't. Rumor has it that a c450 will be announced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January. If it is (whatever it may be), it will probably not be for sale for around six mths after that.

What we have here is a failure to communicate... From what I read it appears that you never mentioned to the salesperson in Sept that you were making this a Christmas gift. I would think she would have told you it can't happen. I guess if that was your original intention (Christmas gift) then you should have placed your order a month earlier. I placed my order 1st week in August...I had a 1 October build...and expecting delivery 1st/2nd week of November. Seems like your expected timeframe is about right...unless of course they can find one at another dealership. Nonetheless I wish you luck...and as for the C450 your guess is as good as anybody when that'll be available.

Perhaps I may not have mentioned that it would be a Xmas gift but I think that a full 3 months is more than enough time. What pissed me off was the fact that they have to nerve to tell me the air balance was not available for the order.
I guess I will keep an eye out for the specs I want by searching autotrader while waiting for the Detroit Auto Show announcement in January.

Maybe you should find another salesperson to help you find the car that you want. Before I bought my C300, I wanted a specific set of options and many dealers suggested I do a custom order but it wouldn't be until mid January until I can pick it up. I decided against waiting that long. One of the salesperson, the one I eventually bought it from, found the car very similar to what I wanted in another state. They shipped it on a flatbed truck and it only took 2 weeks instead of 3 months to arrive. Tell them to search inventory in other states but then you'll have to pay for shipping.
