Didn't get this for Christmas, but took her for a ride on Christmas in my new sweater. LOL

Its always easier to say the truth on on the internet
Of course it doesnt "destroy" the wheels but I think it looks so awful with a single tone black on that beautifully designed two tone wheel, it takes away all the depth and design of the wheel and it really doesnt fit the car.
My 2 cents

You can give "constructive criticism" without being rude. It's actually called being polite.
My 2 cents.

Not to get too far off the topic of the looks of the wheels....but the OP opened the door for criticism (and praise) when he posted the picture.
If someone on the street came up to me and offered an unsolicited opinion of my car, I would be a little pi$$ed if I didn't like their opinion. If, however, I asked someone what they thought I have no right to be upset at their response.
Back to the wheels....I agree with vic viper in that I do not like the wheels on "that car". More specifically, I do not like the lack of contrast between the dark wheels and the dark color of the car. I have seen dark wheels on a lighter color (white and light silver) and the contrast was beautiful. One of the reasons I do not typically like white cars is the bright polished wheel the factory puts on the vehicle.
My wife recently bought a new white MDX and the wheels on the model she bought had dark insets - which contrasts well with the white exterior color.
In the end, the OP did not powdercoat the wheels for anyone but himself and really shouldn't care what anyone else thinks. My assumption is he was excited as hell about his new car (as I was/am with my new C300) and wanted to share pictures of it with others. He didn't even mention the wheels. StanNH did. So, in reality, StanNH needs to apologize to seanvree for bringing up such a painful subject (just kidding).
Everyone has different tastes. As long as posts don't turn into personal attacks, all is well. If vic viper had said "You're a buffoon. Only a complete moron would do something like that," it would be unacceptable.
Maybe he could have said it just like Ricky Bobby and typed "With all due respect, you have destroyed a set of very nice and expensive wheels"?

Couldnt have said it better myself, I feel that my comments were well in the limits of constructive critisism, to each his own, I really cannot understand why anyone should try to convince anyone otherwise?!

You guys are right. I was not in a good mood last night and that just struck a weird nerve. Opinions are just that....opinions. I just want a w205 of my own! (white with dark wheels)

I was planning to powder coat the 19s on mine in black too (also Palladium Silver), but this just put me off somehow. It's either the glossy finish or the fact the chrome bits should be wrapped in back.
I have respect for other people's taste, but this is just looking weird for me...

Congratulations on your car. I think maybe the photo just doesn't do it justice.
The lighting and contrast are out and we can't see it how you see it. For example I see you have the pano roof but the black is washed out in the photo, that is what would tie in the wheels visually. The car is fine, you just need some photography lessons LOL.

Hey Sean, Do you have any more pics of your car? I've been really struggling with color choice when I order my new C (which will be my next) and I'm bouncing between my usual black or the palladium - I always either plastidip the stock wheels or throw on my black 19's so I've been dying to find some pictures of a palladium C w/black stock 19s.. lets see some more pics!
