burmester Audio lacking in loudness
One of the only complaints I've had of the Burmester audio in my 2015 C300 is the lack of loud volume. It's awesome quality, but it just doesn't get that loud.
Does anyone else have this same complaint?
Are there any aftermarket options to fix this?
Thanks,

Wow...... with "590 Watt" pumping through the system I was really thinking I might up end being partially deaf !!
Have you tried all forms of media?? I find if I play a CD vs streaming Spotify, CD ends up being a lot louder........

I've had several custom stereo setups in my cars over the years (even went through my youthful "bass" phase ) and to me the Burmester plays very loud. It's not loud in the sense that it can be heard for city blocks but that's not what an OEM system is designed to do anyways. The stereo does everything I could ask for and it does it very well...damn, I must be getting old.

FWIW, I'm 41, my wife is 34...she always gives me crap for leaving the volume up too high when I get out of the car. I guess it startles her when she gets in to drive. And I still love my bass...just not into loading up the trunk with subs anymore.

I primarily use my Android streaming via BT.
I've also tried Sirrius and that is lacking as well.
I need to try an SD card.
I like streaming from my BT because I use Google maps as well as other things, so changing that really isn't an option for me right now.
i appreciate your input.

Did you turn off the auto volume setting in the main vehicle settings menu? My system is plenty loud when it's off. When you turn auto volume on it seems to reduce the loudness and sometimes feels like it's clipping the highs and lows.

You are absolutely right, auto volume will do that since it works with compressing the sound. That's how it arranges the perceived loudness. Since most of the music genres we listen to are already highly compressed, additional processing might clip the sound. It is better to leave it off to stay true to the originality of the song.

This has been mentioned at least 3 times now in this thread and the OP seems to be ignoring the suggestion or just not reporting back if he's tried it.

I find this is the simplest way to adjust the bluetooth volume, rather than navigating into settings (which may also differ by OS version on the phone)...

It has to be something on his end. The system is quite loud, granted you wont hear it down the block but its definitely loud. But I atleast use an ipod at a minimum for source not bluetooth

2013 C63 Coupe P31, waiting on W205 Coupe S
I have a C300 4Matic with the Burmester system as a service loaner and I paired my iPhone 6 Plus with it. Streaming via Bluetooth is very clear and very loud. I also tried CDs and it is just as loud. The OP needs to TURN up the volume of the audio by pressing the VOLUME UP key on the handset. It needs to be cranked up to max volume.
I am very impressed with the system - it is far better than the POS Harman Kardon system in my C63. Can't wait for the W205 C63...
