well, after 5 days at the dealer - they said the error codes point to fuel pump failure. They will replace that and update all the available software update. I only have the car for 5 months with 1900 miles. Not a good start!!! hope it does not happen again. I called MBUSA several days ago and they said a case manager will call me back the next day and of course no one call me back for 2 days now.

well, its now almost 2 weeks. Last email says
Complaint // Kam // CAC 1-5316664537 [Incident: 150807-000007] assigned to case manager Randy but no one remotely contacted me regarding this matter.
They are just totally dishing this one off. What customer service, not to mention this is a safety issue where engine stops while driving.

Chekc the crank shaft sensor it’s 90% caused by faulty one
Well, something new happened to me yesterday. As the title says, the car turned it itself off fully when I had stopped in traffic. Good thing it didn't happen when I was moving..
The Situation:
- Driving in the city, Comfort mode, auto-start/stop set to Off (I always set it to Off).
- Stopped at a traffic light and suddenly everything powered down except the radio. All the dash lights/icons come on and the steering wheel locked. It felt like the car just died.
- This is very different than when auto-start/stop (***) is engaged because: 1) you get a a green indicator on dash when *** activates, 2) you can still move the steering the wheel when *** activates (which in turn starts the engine again).
The Solution:
- After a couple of seconds of confusion, a quick restart of the car solved all problems and I continued on my way. It has only happened once (knock on wood).
Other Thoughts:
- The car is less than a month old, so I doubt there's something wrong with the battery
- It was cold outside (~15F), but it's been in colder temps without issues
- There were no indications of anything else going bad or sounding weird either before the car shut off or after it was restarted (e.g., no signs of fuel pump or water pump issues, limp mode, etc.).
- I think I'll just chalk this up to a glitch??
Has this happened to anyone else?
