Post Did you know?

That you can remove the cup holders? I also learned today that if you pump the brakes once at a red light it will "Hold" the pedal down for you until you hit the throttle. Learn something new everyday!

Anyone else have any tips and tricks we may not know?

Clearly your salesman didn't do a good job going through the car with you after the sale...

Nope. My salesman was clueless. He showed me the basics and said the manual will go into greater detail.

Then you'll soon realize your car has a ton of cool little features ... Cheers

You can spend a day or better going thru the manual and trying different things out. That's after our service advisor spent over an hour with us. Almost an hour just on Mbrace.

I love the hold feature on the brake. I need to figure out how to get the parking brake to release automatically when I shift to drive. Is that a setting?

You could remove the ashtray to give you even more rooms.

As far as I know, the parking brake automatically disengages once you put the car in drive/reverse and hit the gas. It has been working that way for me !

Low battery voltage in a key fob will trigger a low battery warning when you start the car. The warning appears on the display in very large letters, stays on, and can be dismissed by hitting the "OK" button on the steering wheel.

Yep, I was turning the brake on and off manually until I realised it put it on automatically when opening the door/leaving the car and also releases it (a bit clunky) when you press the accelerator in D. For a smoother set off you can take off the parking brake manually and the set off is a bit smoother.

Figured this out today as well, just hit the gas and it comes off. I was shocked that more people weren't complaining about having to release the parking brake every time they drive off!

Did you know that the car will warn you if the blind spot assist sensors are dirty? I got that message after a snow/ice storm.

I didn't know this!! Had the car 7 months and always released brake manually so just been outside in the wind, rain and dark to try this out. Thank you for this tip.
Can't get it to put brake on though when opening door.

Whilst in the brake hold function and you then switch the engine off, parking brake automatically applies itself.

Open the door and the gears change to park.

Yeah... It is very very handy when you are waiting on an incline. The car holds on to the brakes on itself until u give the gas. No rolling back, no drama !!

Is there anyway to increase the font size on the Navigation display? The street names are too small. They stay that way even if I zoom in.

Did you know that the brakes screech loudly in the morning to let you know they are still on the vehicle? I love this safety feature!
