Here's a link to the wheels I bought http://www.powerwheelspro.com/shop/p...roducts_id=675 , they're square because I wanted to be able rotate the tires when necessary.

The 18" 5 spokes may look a bit outdated but it's still the best looking wheel out there for the MB's IMHO

Dear friends, I have been driving my car for one week and 18'' wheels+Runflat is harsh enough with lowered comfort suspension 677.
19'' wheels may be acceptable only with airmatic

I have the 19" AMG wheels on my 2015 C300 Sport (stock Pirelli Summer RFTs, 38 psig tire pressure all around)...no Airmatic suspension...and I find the ride firm, but not harsh at all. Maybe because some of my past cars were modified WRXs & STIs, and my wife is into BMWs...currently a 2014 328i xDrive. If anything, I find the ride in my C300 softer than any of those cars...definitely smoother than my recent 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 w/air suspension...and I thought that vehicle rode smooth.

I just so happen to own a set of 18" AMG wheels w/stock Continental A/S RFTs as well that I will be using in the Winter. I'll report on those too when the time comes.

Pardon my ignorance, why would you use two set of wheels one for summer and one for winter? Is it due to a 2 wheel drive?

With that said, I'm still on the fence as what to do come Winter...remove the Summer tires and slap on some 19" A/S Pirelli Cinturato RFTs (and just leaving them on)...or buy a takeoff set of the stock 18" wheels & A/S RFT tires.

Winter tyres are built specifically for driving in the ice and snow, and give the car a better grip on the road than the normal tyres do, due to a bit more tread.

In some countries, such as The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, etc. It is a legal requirement that you own both summer and winter tyres, and that you have them changed over by certain dates in the year.

In countries such as the UK, it is not (yet) a legal requirement, although some people will change over in the winter months.

Pretty much the same as super soft, soft, intermediate, and wet tyres work in F1

Actually, it depends on the road quality. Our roads are very bumpy in Turkiye. In perfect asphalt conditions, there would be no difference between 18'' and 19''.

Nope, I have a 4Matic.

It's because I live in a snow belt, and the 19" AMG wheels come stock with Summer tires...the rubber compound of those tires are geared for performance and turns brick hard below 40 degrees F...not good in the Winter!

The 18" AMG wheels come stock with all season tires...MUCH better in the snow than Summer tires.

I agree, but my comparison was based on the roads in my area that I've been driving on for the past 15 years...and if anything, those roads have actually improved over time.

Someone said the ride was "harsh" with the 19" wheels & without Airmatic...I do not agree and believe it's all relative to what you are used to in a vehicle.

2015 C400
19s

I have the 19s on a C400, and I love the way they look. However, I've already bent one on a pothole, and despite their looks, I think that if I could choose again, I would get the 18s. I had a few C300 loaners and felt they road better over harsh surfaces. Could have been comfort vs. sport suspension though.

Did you have the damaged wheel repaired or replaced? How much was the total cost (if any)? Did you opted for a wheel/tire warranty at your dealership?

The Mercedes Benz list price for each 19" AMG is $1,100, which is what the dealer asked for (but it offered to throw in a free replacement tire). (Curious, since it is a $500 option to upgrade from the 18" 5 Star wheels at time of purchase). However, there were no wheels available nationwide for literally months (according to the dealer, and I confirmed with several local dealerships). Consequently I paid the dealer $250 to repair the wheel rather than drive a loaner C300 without nav, sunroof, backup camera or Burmester for months.

The reason why they weren't available is 'cause I had mine replaced after an accident

They told me that I got the last one in the U.S.
It was shipped from Cali

Sounds like our 19" AMG wheels just went up a bunch in value! Supply & demand, right?

I just checked eBay...no new or used 2015 OEM W205 19" AMG wheels to be found (none for the 18" AMG wheel either).

Vic, how did you tune your C180? Mine arrives in 2 months, and i am looking for tuning options. I work at a MB dealer in Norway and have access to Xentry.

I agree that the multi spoke look like wagon wheels.

The black amg 19's grew on me and now I love them. Id like to go 20s one day but the width issue on the 450 is a pain.

I get more compliments about the wheels than any other part of the car.

Yeah, I'm usually a straight 5 spoke or split 5 but I think the OEM multispokes take the 205 to another level. They lean more luxury than sport but still the best looking factory wheel IMO.

The car looks so much nicer with the larger wheel and having cleaned and sealed them this weekend, they're actually not that hard to wash. I use ' wheel woolies ' which take perhaps 30 seconds tops to clean each wheel.

Same wheels (mine are 2 tone piano black cnc silver face ) and also use the woolies to clean, the wash wtep is fast..
The drying less so and the clay / polish and sealant application takes a bloody age complared to the 5 spoke..

Despite that i'd have the multispoke everytime over the 5's, my wifes GLA has the 19" 5's great to keep clean, but look old fashioned..
