I live in San Diego and will be bringing in my C400 for service A this week. Are they obligated to give me a loaner?

You should get a free loaner...unless maybe you didn't buy the car from the servicing dealership as they may not offer loaners to those who didn't purchase the car there. Otherwise I don't see a reason why you wouldn't get some kind of a loaner for the day.

10k is a minor enough service that they generally have it done in a couple hours. Every dealership near me offers a shuttle but no loaner for the 10k. My previous 2013 c250 was the same deal.

when you make the appointment, just ask for a loaner and see if they give it to you. I have been to dealerships where they give it out for any service, and ones that stick to the warranty work, overnight only rule.

No, they're not obligated to do anything but provide the service you request.

Most dealers do have a loaner or shuttle service, so just ask your dealer what accommodations they offer.

I didn't buy my car from the dealership that does all my servicing. They not only provide me with a loaner, but I get free car washes 7 days a week if I wish.

If you go to MB of SD in Kearny Mesa, they will provide you a loaner on request for a $35 charge.

I went in for recall repair 3 months ago and got a C300 as a loaner, just dropped off for my 10k service today and got a CLA250 loaner. Wow what a difference

Not even close to my C400. It felt agile enough, but front wheel drive, torque steer and weak sounding engine. Inside felt cheap too

Yes, and it was in the shop for 1.5hrs.

That's not bad. I guess it depends on the dealer. It would have been nice if they gave you one.

When you made your appointment did you ask if there was a loaner available ?? I've always gotten a loaner when I had any kind of service done on my W204 ....... granted I would always call at least a week in advance prior to dropping off the car.

At least it only took an hour a half for the service ...... which is more like in and out for any dealership. Good luck next time !

I bought my car on the other side of the country and got a loaner when I brought it in for the 10k service.

They should give you a courtesy car in case they need to keep your car for 2 hours onwards.

my dealer has a concierge service that comes and gets your car and drops off a loaner.

My dealership provides me with a loaner car as long as i schedule an appointment in advance, i have dropped my car off for recalls, warranty work or service and have always received a free loaner. I did not purchase my car at this MB Dealership.
