Maybe it’s because I’m coming from a highly modified Camaro and a BMWZ4 roadster that nothing about this car excites me anymore. Don’t get me wrong. It’s a beautiful car! But it’s been 6 months and I’m ready to move on. Unfortunately I still have 2 ½ years left on my lease

My C300 is my everyday "working" car. I'm fortunate in that I've always had a fun car in the garage too. Based on the amazingly positive experience I've had with my Porsche 981 Boxster, I'd have to give the Cayman a personal thumbs up over everything else on your list. The 4C and Evora are great, but offer less reliability and less comfort. The current Boxster/Cayman design is as close to the perfect sports car as anything I've ever driven.
If you can, try to keep the C300 for its practicality and add a fun toy to the mix.
Before the economy disintegrated in 2008, I was very highly paid and could change out a car pretty much anytime I wanted. People once asked if I had joined "The Car Of The Month" club. Now that I'm in a much different financial situation (I do OK, but nowhere nearly as well as I once did), I've had to train myself to be satisfied with things longer than I ever thought I'd have to. I've been driving my current E350 Couple for 4 years, which is a complete record for me. I plan to hold onto the C longer.
Changing out cars is very expensive. Perhaps you might consider another hobby that doesn't cost as much and gives you a rush when you get something new. I have one as I'm into higher end Mechanical Movement watches. Every six months or so, I'll either sell one of my watches, or if a great deal on one comes up, add a watch and I've found it scratches the "I want something else" itch quite nicely.
I would love to swap it out for the AMG GT but that car is way over budget. I'll see if I can get Porsche to buy out my lease. It my be cheaper for me to hold on to it for a couple more years.
I love it for what I bought it for, my one and only car, daily driver, which is stylish, comfortable, drives well, has lots of tech gear. If I was looking for a thrilling car I don't think this is what I would have picked, although I'm not sure what would really be thrilling in this price range. You really need a C63 or maybe the 450 to have any "thrill" factor, unless you were previously driving a Lexus.

I have to agree. Problem is I will never be able to drive a stock Camaro after driving this beast for two years. But 9 miles to the gallon gets old real quick And your absolutely correct about the Z4. It was a blast to drive. But is has a trunk the size of a shoebox. I think I'll spend some time with the C Class this weekend. It really is a beautiful car. Just not what I'm used to.

I drove the Cayman and absolutely loved it! What a fun little car. Not a bank-buster, either.
With that said, I'm still loving my C200.
It's fun to switch into Sports + mode, watch the car lower itself and then take off!
(Sure -- it's nothing like the 63 AMGs, but I couldn't own one of those. I'd end up losing my license and maybe my freedom. They're just too much fun.)

Well said Stan...exactly why I bought my C300 Sport. If I didn't care about gas mileage as much as I do, I would have gone with the C400 at the time. I still love my car, but IMO an extra 50 hp would have made the C300 perfect...without sacrificing gas mileage too much.
rbrylaw...I'm into fine automatic watches as well. I've got my eyes on a Calibre De Cartier since Cartier now makes their own Swiss in-house movements...

Most WIS (watch idiot savants) snub their noses at Cartier. But I don't. Many have no clue how much the House of Cartier has contributed to the world of fine Swiss Time Pieces.

I like this Cartier not only because it's a quality time piece, but not everyone has one. Most of the people I know have a Rolex, Breitling, or IWC...nice watches and all, but those watches do nothing for me. Other watch makers in my price range that I like are Jaeger-LeCoultre (my Grandfather passed down his LeCoultre wrist watch to me), and Tag Heuer (I like the Carrera CAR2B11.BA0799 since it as a "El Primero" movement). I say this because I only would buy new.
My current lust for piece is this Breguet...

I agree the "thrill" is gone...although it's mainly because of the constant wind noise that can't seem to be corrected. It's a nice looking car...but I'm ready to move on if I can get a half way decent deal on trading it in. My neighbor just picked up a Panamera...wow!!

Hope he got a good deal on the Panamera. I read today it's been discontinued.

Porsche is a rung up on the quality ladder than Mercedes. When I get in my Cayenne, you just feel you are in a special car. While nice, I don't get the same feeling from the interior of my E550 cabriolet. No question though, the cabriolet looks great on the outside. The Porsche, even as an SUV drives much better than the Mercedes.
