Burmester sound system: where to tap for non filtered signal?
Wanting to install a small subwoofer, and I need to tap the speaker lines. I imagine the Burmester system is heavily filtered, amplified, etc before it reaches the actual speakers.

Anyone know if the lines that come out of the head unit are unfiltered? The idea is to get a signal that does not have a high pass filter.

Tap into the lines to the foot well base speakers, this is what I plan to do when adding my sub as soon as a have time.

The amp is located in the right side of the trunk.

Did anyone ever get their subwoofer installed? I'm looking to do this to my MY16 C300 with Burmester.

I'm about an hour away from picking up my 16, it got a sub installed as well of a bunch of other gear. You'd pick up sub from the channels for the two footwell subs, on the high (powered) side of the OEM amp. I'll ask the installer for the wire color codes of those leads off the amp.

Your new sub amp will need to accept speaker level inputs or you'll need line level converters to convert back to line level before the amp.

Thanks. Color code or wiring diagram would be great. Do you know if the footwell subs are mono or stereo?

Only one sub if standard sound system, stereo subs left and right with Burmester

Well I went to pick up the car today and there's a problem with the Prima unit. They're replacing it tomorrow but in all the hoopla I forgot to ask about the wire color coding.
