19x10 - will it fit?

hi all,
I've recently bought a w205 (switching from an Accord). It's winter now, so time to think about some mods for the spring season; I was looking to get some rims and found Klutch's KM20s, but I'd like to verify if they will fit without fender rolling?

I've compared the 8,5x19 ET 52 OEM AMG wheels with KM20 which are 19x8,5 ET 40 (front) and 19x10 ET 35 (rear); it seems that 19x10 wheels will stick out ca. 32 mm.

Anyone has 19x10 in the rear of a w205? I plan to roll them with H&R springs and later with a set of coilovers.

thanks,
Lucas

I run 20x10 ET55 and it clears by approx 5mm.s , ET50 might work but I am not certain.
Running 285 tires without issues.

How do you know?, have you tried them?

10.5 ET50 will most likely rub depending on tire choice and ride height.

thanks; do they clear 5mm from the suspension (inside) or do you mean fender (outside)? I'm afraid that 19x10 with ET35 will rub since it will stick out 20mm more than ET55.

5mm.s towards the fender, ET35 wont work if you are lowered.

yeah, I plan to get springs first, so it will get lower.
Thanks for your input then - care to share your setup? It's 20x10 ET55 and tire 285 with what wall height?

thanks.

think I'l go with 19x8,5 ET35 (235/35) for the front and 9,5 ET40 for the back, then.

Also, are you lowered on springs or coils?

You should go for higher ET up front to avoid rubbing,

I run Airmatic so I have fitted links and done the fine tuning through diagnosis.

I've compared your front setup with the 19x8,5 ET35 and it seems it should work; it would stick out 10mm more. With a spring drop of ca. 30mm it should be fine, right?

but rubs due to sitting low or is rubbing not related to ride height?

It is Always related to ride height, but in Comfort mode witrh car being 20mm.s higher the rubbing is less.

well, not always. If it rubs inside the wheel well (not the fender) it's related to wheel diameter.
Since your set (rim+tire) is overall 25 mm larger in diameter, I guess my setup should be fine.

I unerstand you rub the upper fender lip?
How much space between tire and fender do you need not to rub at all?

What tire size will you be running?

My 235/30R20 is 1% smaller than stock, you shouldnt go even smaller.

Why not?
If your new setup is actually smaller than stock you shouldn't rub with normal drop.

I was planning to get:

235/30/19 Front
255/30/19 Rear

sidewall should be around the same size for front and back (71 vs. 77 mm).

Or 35 profile to have a bit more sidewall.

I always buy tires as close to stock circumference as possible, not only will it cause an inacurate speedometer but it also looks horrible with a wheel being to small for the car it is sitting on.

I should run 245/30R20 to be correct but unfortunately it rubs way too much.

Hard to say, but in S+ the rubber is under the fenders.

ok, I've checked this setup:

225/35R19 19x8,5 ET45
255/35R19 19x9,5 ET40

against OEM AMG wheels:

225/40R19 19x7,5 ET44
255/35R19 19x8,5 ET52

and it seems it should run smoothly with a normal drop.
20" would also be ok, but since this is my daily driver and roads here are not so brilliant, I'll stick with 19 inches.
