Need help picking PP or OE Tuning

So while my car is in the shop I am having the H&R springs installed, tints done and I want to do an ECU flash tuning done as well.( getting bored waiting for it back!)
I'm debating between the PP performance tune and the one from OE tuning that I saw on C450amg.com
Any suggestions? Anyone do the PP performance tune?
I would like some nice power gains while keeping or improving drivability of the car.
Also don't want to lose the exhaust crackle in sport +!

Both shops are local and can reflash if I need to do service or anything by MB on the car.

Don't know anything about pp tuning, but oe tuning has subpar customer service.

I would imagine because OE and PP are local to him, no shipping required.

I would definitely go eurocharged over the 2 mentioned above. I have never heard of pp and oe has the worst customer service. Op needs to do some research. Having top notch customer service is an absolute must when it comes to tuning cars.

Do you have any examples about their bad customer service?

This is the most recent "posted" thread. There are a lot out there who don't post, but have shared with me similar experience to this one.

Isn't OE tuning showing the biggest power bumps for this car?

C400
PP Completed my ECU last week. It has been in the car for a total of 1 week (23,500 miles on 2015 C400). So far it has been fantastic. The additional power is very noticeable particularly just over 3000RPMs. I never cared to drive this car in S+ until now.
I am trying to put a head to head together with another C400. Also might have another guy who will run his C450 (working on it...). I had the ECU done without telling anyone in my family. My 22 year old knew something was different the first time I got on into it. He just happened to mention he didn't remember the car being that fast. I thought that was one of the most perfect un-bias, non placebo comments as he always thought my E46 was faster. NOT ANYMORE!! Customer service has been great. I welcome anyone to reach out to Golan with PP Performance. He has another thread on this site. I will do a more complete write up after I get a little more time with it. I am now strongly debating the Touring AWE Exhaust.....

I agree with this.

About two months ago I was looking into this. I must have called OE for two weeks trying to talk to them. Every time I called I got their recording machine. I think one time they called me back and told me they were out 'testing' or at the track. I also sent emails and none was returned. It actually made me want to find a local tuner, and even though I paid more my experience with the local shop was excellent.

I will say I did get good feedback from the local tuners on OE owner, he knows what he is doing but man it was frustrating trying to get them on the phone. If I was local to them I might have gone in that direction but being remote it concerned me. I am sure others may have better experiences but that was mine.

Its 2016 out there, nobody talks on the phone anymore, email or text
My emails were answered within a couple of hours, service was perfect - received my ECU and shipped it back the same day.
The only issue is prices are way to high for ECU tuning on german cars compared to Hyundai, which is $300 canned and $600 custom with dyno pull...
Actually all performance parts are way to expensive for german cars, same sh*t but oh yeah, its a "luxury" car

Ended up going with OE tuning. So far they have been very helpful and been in contact with Jeremy over there.

Will let you guys know how the car responds to the tune!

because when you do 165 on a eurocharged tune your car shutsdown and throws a check engine light

My experience with OE to date has been excellent. They received my unit at 1030AM and its on the way back to me the same day. My emails were answered within 15 minutes repeatedly. I should have it by 10:30 tmw morning. I really don't know how anyone can provide better customer service. If the tune is as good as reported I will be a very, very satisfied customer.

I lightly skimmed the complaint thread linked above, which doesn't seem to be there anymore.

The impression I got was that the OP needed special services with his handheld tuner and that OE charged him extra for the extra work. Did I get that right?

The C450 is bench tune so.... relevance?

Let me start by saying, I am not new to the tuning community. I am sure some of you guys have tuned cars as well.

What matters the most is how a company responds when you have issues later down the road.

Of course. In my experience every tuner that has a following of happy customers also has a group of critics who blame them for all sorts of ailments.

I think that forums like this really force those businesses that want to suceed to step up and really try to do the right thing. It's clear if you shaft someone or have a mediocre product, the "community" will know about it that evening. Occasionally there is a customer that you just can't make happy, I guess when your doing your research you take the reviews from those individuals as helpful but look at the totality of a businesses reputation to make your decision on who you want to work with.

Brief update on the OE tune, more to follow after a trip to North Carolina mountains in a few weeks. This is what this car should have been from the beginning. If MB really want to sell the C43 they should do this!! Comfortable relaxed as always if you want that, but put your foot into it at about 2500+ RPM all kinds of good stuff happens, and happens very quickly. Just spools up so much faster pulls hard and very quick to redline in S+ with very smooth shifts. Really a beautiful tune. Compliments to OE. Just do it!

Installed the OE tuning this morning and H&R springs today. Can't wait to drive the car tonight after over a month of it being in the shop. I will review both mods once I have had time to break them in.

OE Tuning has been great so far in customer service and responses to phone calls and emails!
