C180 w205

Running lights turning on and off

Hi all
I have a w205 c180 tonight the running lights started turning on and off when the head lights are on, if the head lights are off they don't turn 9n and off. A warning has come out on the instrument panel saying left front indicator and left dipped beam but they are both working. Any idea what the problem could be

That was the very first thing i checked all the connections to both headlights and the connections feel tight and in place.

Have you checked the headlight switch and sure that the knob haven't been turned to "Always On"? If the knob is not in Auto position, the DRL will not turn on if the headlights are not on.
