9G Torque Converter vs Speedshift MCT

I'm looking for some impressions regarding the new 9G vs the AMG Speedshift transmissions.

Has anyone driven both? If so, did you notice a lot of difference between the two?

I'm trying to decide between getting a C43 or a GLA45. The C43 has the new 9G while the GLA45 has the Speedshift.

I think either car would meet my needs (similar price, room for four adults, AWD, Recaro seats, plenty of power), but the transmission could be the deciding factor. I'd definitely prefer something a bit more sporty as long as it's not absolutely miserable to drive in traffic or at slow speeds.

Not sure what you mean by "sporty", and I haven't driven the 9 speed, but they're both planetary gear boxes so you're not going to have a problem. Even the DCT is fine if you put it in comfort.

My M4's DCT can shift so violently that you'd swear parts are about to fly off. I've cut loose the tires on upshifts at freeways speeds. But put it in comfort and it's a silk glove over velvet.

Point is, a planetary 'box in comfort is going to be just fine. Nick Murray has a good review of the C450 you could check out.
