Hi,

I guys, I came across this the other day on Facebook and found in Taiwan there are 10.25" Touch Screen that can replace the factory screen.

It also allows for screen mirroring from cell phones. From the look of this, the split screen allows to show other things other than just what's available on Comand.

Anyone know if this mod is available in North America?

I think with the added screen, there is the possibility to install some pretty neat vehicle diagnostic softwares to be displayed as well.

I could imagine MB doing something like this for the refresh, looks similar to one of the E class screens. It looks pretty good in pictures.

From what I was told by the company is that this is the initial production and that there are European as well as Middle east resellers ordering them already. The price is 38000 Taiwan dollar which equates to about 1200 USD.

The installation was told by the company that is simple and straight forward with one connector in the back and the side screen will operate on its own with some type of build in raspberry pi like computer. So.. apparently it is plug and play from the the factory harness.

Interesting concept. I can see more companies that will make something similar down the road.

That's too bad it is so cost prohibitive. I would gladly pay $350-400 for the screen upgrade. Maybe stretch 500.

It definitely was going to be around the same cost of adding the Multimedia package to the car. This is probably aimed at people who thought the Audio20 was sufficient then realized it really isn't.

Hey guys. First time on here. I wanted to let everyone know that this screen is on sale on ebay. Not sure if I can post a link but if you search : " BENZ W205 C-CLASS GLC-CLASS 12 INCH MONITOR WITH NAVI" on ebay it'll pop up. It's selling for 590$.
I decided to be a guinea pig and order it. I'll update this post once i get it in.

Somehow I'm going to mount my 50" plasma tv on the dash!!! It might obstruct the windshield but who needs that anyway...

Plasma TV? Too much real estate for its purpose. I was considering a mini projector and project it to the windshield.

It looks like it's Audio20 only based off the eBay listing...no dice on upgrades Multimedia then?

Yep. it's for those of us who don't have Multimedia pk. If you already have it, why spend more money? bigger screen?
