I'm all about how the AMG cars look. As far as driving them or owning one, so far I haven't been able to pull the trigger. But they're always the sexiest version of whatever Benz I do end up getting, so I usually just crib some AMG looking bits for my otherwise vanilla rides. I do like that new E400 Coupe a lot. I probably wouldn't stick a bunch of AMG cosmetic parts on that car. Probably.
Yeah the new coupe looks great. Too bad it isn't totally pillarless but neither was the last one. I can't wait to see how the E63 AMG coupe turns out. Just by giving it the same S Coupe hood shutline design as the E63 sedan it will completely transform the car.

Ha! I'm leased too. I've got several grand in audio mods, the C63 diffuser and tips, staggered W204 C63 reps, Michelin Pilot Supersports. It all comes out/off at lease end and either gets installed in/on the next car (the audio gear was from my previous S550) or put on EBay. Or depending where the value sits vs the residual, the car just gets traded in as is.
Sadly, the little CF start button is the least stupid thing I've done to the C.
Hey I'm all for functional and fun mods. Mods that make the car a better driving experience for the user. I mean, very soon here I'll have downpipes, springs, and a tune on this thing, but spending $100-250 for a button cover? That just seems crazy to me! Crazy because I'm probably going to get one
My question is only how often will I get to use it/ enjoy it and how big a deal will it be to reverse. I get a kick out of it every time I start the car. That's $200 worth of entertainment easily.
MA Carbon starts out with an OEM button with an MB part #. I'm guessing a chunk of that $200 is for the part itself. No idea how that Chinese site functions.
The button is stupid-expensive but it is a really nice piece. I'm kind of running out of mod ideas.
I wonder if you can send in your button for a core charge and how much that would cut down on cost. I never trust Chinese stuff to look like their picture so I'm not sure if i'm going to be pulling the trigger on that one.
