About new C300's headlight CONCERNNNN!!!

First post on MB forum, please help !!
So i just paid deposit for a C300 i test drove twice, it had basically all packages but Auto parking and LED LIGHT PACKAGE!! I never noticed how fugly the halogen headlight looks like,
I mean, even a W204 Xeon light will totally burn halogen light down, for real it looks like piss yellow lol
But that is the only brillant blue one in stock, and i dont wanna wait longer to get cars shipped from other places.
So my plan is to change the headlight after i got it, heres the question, is it possible at all? I mean to either change a LED bulb or maybe the whole headlight thing so at least it doesnt look like piss-yellow ish colour??
I love that car but at meanwhile, the light has been really haunting me, please give me some thoughts guys!! Appreciated!

Don't do it. Just order the car you want. You will regret it every day if you don't.

I can't imagine NOT having the Lighting package...anything less just seemed ugly to me...

I have read about the troubles and expense and frustration concerning changing the lights. I was lucky because a very good salesman pushed me to get the bixenon lighting when I got my ML, telling me the standard lights were a disappointment. When I got the C300 I looked for one with LED lights and I am glad I did.

Get the lighting package for sure. I see some C300s without them and it makes the car look cheap and ugly. The tail lights look awful too without lighting package.

You will definitely regret it. The lighting package and intelligent LED is a must buy.

dieseldoc Jan 22, 2017 02:22 PM

Get the LEDs.

Yeezus Jan 22, 2017 03:27 PM

Please please don't buy this car without them.

whenever I see this car without the lighting package it has to be the cheapest looking Mercedes.

reminds me of the cla. Trust me you will give up trying to change the headlights.

If you don't get the LED lights, changing the light fixture altogether would be a big job. Someone changed the bulbs in GLC300. That at least solved the "piss yellow" issue. See picture in post #1 and procedure in post #12. I suspect that it would be similar for C300.

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...3efa608ac.jpegFind a nice sport packaged or c450 if you can. The lights are a must, trust me you will hate seeing other Mercedes driving around with the nice led lights.

Seems like light color and output really matter to you. Do a lot of night driving? Wait for the right car. That's the best way.

netboy Jan 22, 2017 07:22 PM

when i ordered my 2016 c450, this sale woman said "do you really need it?" re: led lighting package. WTF??
i know how ugly the halogen light is, i used to have 2003 C320 coupe, i switched it to bixenon headlights from halogen. it makes the car looks modern and sporty.

I thank all of you sincerely guys! I eventually decided to go with another Brilliant Blue C300 that is basically same as the previous one which has Halogen light; yet it does have premium plus package. But i mean its alright not too much difference, the light though is definitely huge thing. I would probly go with the Halogen one if i didnt see all your replies.
Thank you guys all, again! Ill surely post my bae after i got it on Wed!!!

Who get's a base 43, that to me is a waste. No Multimedia, No Pano Roof, No Burmeister, and Halogen lights? Claims he didn't like the LED lights styling which has to be the worst excuse I've heard for not getting any options on the car.

I agree.

I'd rather drive a well equipped Lexus IS 350 F Sport AWD than a base stripper C43...for about $2,000 less money than the Mercedes too!
