It's odd how much to Eco Stop/Start function bothers people, to the point that they'd be willing to spend over $100 to disable it (rather than simply pushing the button in the car to enable or disable it whenever desired). Pretty ridiculous, if you ask me.

It's not so much the inconvenience as it is the imposition. If I decide I don't want it I should be able to turn it off and have it stay off. Once. I don't want or need the manufacturer to decide for me. Likewise, I wouldn't want the radio to default to smooth jazz every time I start the car, irrespective of how pleasant or soothing it may be.
If I'm in the mood for some sweet-*** Kenny G (and I'm not) I'm perfectly capable of switching stations all by myself. If things have reached the point where I need the car to save an extra .13 cents worth of gas a week, I'll enable auto stop. Or suicide.
Same with the agility mode. Let me set up the car I paid for the way I want it set up. Once. The truth is, the car defaults to Comfort/Auto-stop to meet some government mandated fuel efficiency number, not to improve the owner's experience.
MidCity Engineering does make a CAN module that disables auto stop and retains Agility settings, but as previously mentioned it's several hundred dollars. Kind of like using a shotgun to kill a mouse.

I'm hoping this new widget means that more companies are moving into this space. MB market share is growing globally. Little mods like this will have a growing market. I would drop up to $200.00 for reliable mod that retained the agility mode. The mid city solution is just a little too much for me to justify the expense. If this manufacturer can make and OBD plug-in that mods eco start/stop then agility can't be far behind. With more competitors, Mid-city is going to have to become more competitive in their pricing.

Not sure what you are referring to. On my cars the engine only stops when the car is completely stopped (and all the stars are correctly aligned).

Mine is very aggressive. When decelerating slowly the auto stop will engage before the car is fully at rest. This jolts the vehicle similarly to when a bad or inexperienced driver brakes too unevenly at a stop. It's annoying and embarrassing.

^^ that's not start-stop, that's your car not being fully trained to know.what you want. Start-stop only works when the car is completely stopped. However you should get it checked out by your dealership.

Over here in good olde Blighty, we see the other end of the temp scale and even then with start-stop my engine starts when it needs to, I.e. battery charge is low. If yours turns of the AC get it checked out by the dealer.

You're dumb. If your engine is off, you are NOT going to have AC. The fan might be blowing, but it will NOT be cold air cuz the compressor is off.

This is not a TCU learning issue. I've had the car for nearly a year and am familiar with most of the quirks of the 7G+ tranny.
I'll ask if there are any software updates when she goes in for service A.

Or you can just be a dick about it and call people dumb because they've never studied or wrenched on a vehicle AC system.

Actually, AMG knows how to fix those quirks and give your better performance. It involves a software patch drafted for your car and a reset by a tech, with a computer, while driving the car.

Ya CFG,
I know about TIPS
My transmission has been good for the most part. It sometimes has the slow downshift from 2-1 when attempting to do a rolling stop. This is pretty limited and predictable and doesn't seem to be the same problem that others have reported with the 7G+. My wife and I have both adapted to it. The solution, we stopped rolling through stop signs
