What I aint`t too happy about is that you`re not able to get assistant package with the exterior AMG package on C350e. You can get it on the other engines and GLC for instance but not C350e. This leaves me as a big question mark, but as I`ve come to understand not everything that the car makers decide makes sense.

That's normal... MB = Making money with extra packages.
If the car cost 50k the final price will be 100k, easy :P

Lexus GS430
2016 C300. No problems or rattles in 10K miles. I'm convinced I got the perfect car *for me*. Previously owned a GS430 and SLK 250. Test drove 328, 428, S60, Q50 hybrid, and GS350. The trick when test driving cars is to pay attention to the stuff that will matter in everyday use once you've owned the car for 6 months. I wanted something smaller than the GS (just big enough to take friends to dinner occasionally), at least as luxurious, that my 6'5" would fit into, better mileage, while not giving up too much performance. The C300 was head and shoulders above all the others on my criteria. Some of the others were faster / sharper, but gave up too much in everyday usefulness, quietness, or comfort in return. Far less turbo lag than the SLK, and I actually like the C's handling better (no, it can't touch the SLK in looks or the joy of cruising down Hwy 1 with the top down, of course). 32MPG on long. trips vs 24 in the Lexus. Just for the hell of it, I drove a C43 today while my C300 was in for its 10K service, and I felt the same way about that car as the BMW 428: too much noise and harshness in return for better performance I'd rarely be able to play with. For the first several months I owned the C I kept finding things that were just delightfully well thought out and/or improvements over my previous cars. Sure, I wish I could have the speed of a C43 and the quietness and smoothness of the Lexus V8, with the mileage of a Prius. The Q50 hybrid came closest on that score: better mileage than the C300 with better straight-line performance than the C43. But the rest of the car... no thanks. I was considering a C350e, but they got delayed in the US past the death of my GS430. I have never once thought "I wish I could have gotten this other car instead". That's at *any* price. If I had it to do again I might spring for the red leather and the 360 camera. The Burmester is adequate as far as I'm concerned — not outstanding, but I don't expect sound in a car to be outstanding just because of all the other noise. The lane keeping stuff is useless but I will never buy another car without blind spot monitoring and radar cruise.

I am almost exactly one year in with my c450 and am very happy. I have less than 5000mi but the car has been in for service quarterly so far. I had the missing crackle issue solved quickly, then there was exterior trim that was falling off, twice, and then the exhaust manifold that was leaking. Luckily no major mechanical issues, but I have been subjected to driving a base CLA more times than than I would have liked.
Things that annoy me are no drive mode memory after power cycle, but they remember the last radio volume! I always have the radio blasting when I get home, and am surprised every morning at how loud I left it. I hate that you can't mute the navigation voice during an instruction. In 500 ft turn left, then stay left, turn left then immediately stay left, stay left. Alright lady, I got it, now please let me stop you and get back to the radio. There is even a button with a "no talking" pic. I hate not being able to access my recent calls quickly on my cluster by using a steering wheel button.
Basically all of these issues are things I miss about my VW. I make considerations because it's a Mercedes and I really enjoy driving it. I love the exterior, the interior is a great place to be, the power is perfect for me, and the ride is firm but never abusive. Oh that reminds me, I hate the run flat tires and lack of spare.

Yeah! Now that you mention it, I was in my C Class and I got pulled over by a cop! He said I "failed to stop" after I "almost ran over some pedestrians" and I said "why were they walking in the middle of such a narrow road?" and he said "That was a sidewalk!".

Bottom line, my C Class ownership experience has been very bad. I will NOT own another C Class even if my driving privileges are ever restored.

That I did understand

What I don`t see the point in, is making a mock out of trying to highlight some of the common and known issues about the car.

And why I questioned someone who refered to major tire issues as a relevant issue to the topic.....

I am 100% enthusiastically satisfied with my 450. I love it and it still puts a grin on my face every time I drive it or even look at it after 6 months of ownership.

Now, with that being said, I've driven a few c300's. A couple dealer loaners and a fully loaded (even had Designo interior) show room example. I could say that I wouldn't be happy with one of those but that's assuming that I would consider buying one. No way in hell I would spend ~$50k for a c300. I couldn't take myself seriously buying the bottom of the barrel MB. I feel like you're trying to give off the impression that you're rich or that you've "made it" yet you're driving the poor mans Benz. Sorry if this offends anyone, just giving my honest opinion here

I tried really hard to like the C450 (I actually drove 5 hours to see one in my colors/options). I drove a bunch of them in various configurations, but the 450 was just too raw for my taste. The engine note was fun in short bursts but there was no escaping it, and no matter what voodoo AMG did to tune the exhaust, a TT6 is always going to sound like a TT6. I also felt the ride was too stiff by about half, but that could have been mitigated by dropping to 18" and ditching the run-flats.

Money was not a factor as far as which C to get. The C63s was in the "budget" if I wanted to go that way, and of course the feel and exhaust note of the TTV8 are in a different class entirely. But it was my first 205 and I honestly wasn't confident that the platform was there to build a $90k around. (I am now).

A C300 Sport with AirMatic can be otherwise configured identically to a C450/43 aside from some minor cosmetic body bits (grille, fender badge, exhaust tips.) It's just slower, quieter and rides better. Those are perfectly valid priorities.

I got the C300 because I genuinely preferred it to the C450, and I didn't want a 4th S Class. I'm enjoying it, a year in and so far I don't regret the choice. It doesn't feel like a compromise to me at all. Although I do lose 100% of my street races

A reasonable assessment on all counts. I do think you're a bit crazy for not going with another S class or even an E. Or a CLS while we're at it.

If I was going for a plush lux car, I'd be going S for sure (assuming I could afford it lol). I can't stand to drive cars unless its a truck, plush luxury cruiser, or a wannabe racecar like my 450 is. Driving a normal car makes me want to blow my brains out. The mod bug ruined me I suppose. Once I knew what forced induction can do to a car, I just can't go back

Lol I lose 100% of my races as well. Mostly because I don't indulge the Subaru's and Civic's that try to race me; especially not in the city when people are out and about.. One day I hope to pull up to something worthy of my gas and in an appropriate setting.

Yeah, I'm really digging the E Coupe. It'll line up nicely with the lease end on the 300. Seems more tuned to comfort than Sport, but decent performance. The current E wasn't available when I got the 300, and I was trying to break my S Class addition. I honestly think crack habits are cheaper.

The new E has the best looking interior I've seen in a while, plus AWD is now available. They might do a 400 instead of the 43 on the coupe.

They are. The US C400 Coupe will have a detuned version of the TTV6 that's currently in the C450 (and originally in the C400 sedan). It's pushing around a little more weight but it's got the 9 speed.
