2018 Ordering Guide

Does anyone have an ordering guide for the 2018 C300 sedan? I've seen one for the coupe posted in an earlier thread but not for the four door model.

Think it's a little early for it. Based on history I'd say end of June July

What's New - 2018 W205 C-Sedan

1 Attachment(s)
The US DOG for 2018 C-Class W205 sedan was released way back end-March - and has since been updated/expanded end-April.

Every US MB dealer has the DOG - so you can sit down and get full details.

I cannot post full DOG - but as a courtesy I have posted the "What's New" page from the original end-March .

The reason I cannot post full DOG - I did that for the SUV forums up to last Fall - then some rock-head SUV forum member caused a real scene at his local dealership waving his forum downloaded DOG around - that guy was a a real piece of work - so his DOG thru this forum got tracked back to me - and I got a polite corp-politically-correct directive not to post DOG's - the turkey a*ss dude fracked this up for me/you.

Hope the What's New helps - just DON'T go postal and wave it around and lead back to me.

2018 C-Sedan is downplayed at dealer level - even downplayed to dealer Sales people - C's are a volume production model - so plenty of 2017's for your dealer to sell.

Thank you very much, fabbrisd1.

I'm gonna add something, as well. (I'm in possession of the OG, too.) There's no mention of the suspension options in the 2018 OG. If you look at the MY17 OG, the sport package is specifically listed as coming with the "sport suspension." For both the coupe and sedan order guides in their current form, there's no mention of any suspension choices. I think the AMG/Sport package will now be purely cosmetic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'd love to be wrong—I think part of being a luxury brand is giving consumers greater choice.

Thanx for sharing. Any information on MSRP and Package Structure? Thanx in advance.

Sabres Doc 06-11-2017 04:17 AM

I see the Smartphone Integration Package (868) is now available. Any idea if this will be a retrofit option in the MY2016 C-Class? I know this has been asked before but I haven't seen an update in a while. Thanks!

2018 C-Class Sedan Dealer Ordering Guide - US

cgw944 07-17-2017 11:36 PM

The 2018 guide posted by unr1 is the same version I was emailed by a salesman about two weeks ago. When I ordered a car a few days later, the dealer showed the premium driver assistance package msrp at $3050, not $3300. The destination charge for a California Bay Area dealer by - not listed in the order guide - was $995 versus $925 in 2017.

I wish MB had a way to track your build progress. When I ordered a BMW about 15 years ago I was able to see detailed information including when production would start and what ship it would be on, with departure and arrival dates.

They are built in Alabama so no long sail here.

The dealers in the USA are still getting some made in South Africa. I was quite surprised. I recently had a 2017 C Class loaner made in SA.

eagle_lex 07-18-2017 11:01 AM

no black ash on doors.... smh

why? looks so good on our c300. i guess cost savings IDK what else it would be.

unr1 07-18-2017 08:06 PM

3000 for the driver assist package?! Ouch

Gungaslow 07-18-2017 08:57 PM

Boy am I glad I got a 2017....the 2018 seem way overpriced and not as good..I would never even consider a 2018

Actually, there is not much difference in the price between the two years. I just ordered a pretty loaded 2018, msrp of $56,315. A 2017 with the same options (as far as possible) according to Edmunds, has an msrp of about $55,200. The differences are that the 2018 comes with the 9G tronic versus the 7G in the 2017 and the 2018 has a standard sunroof. The 2017 with the Premium 4 package has the fragrance system, which I didn't order.

Plepster 07-19-2017 07:13 PM

Be careful on the Smartphone Integration package as it is being categorized as delayed availability. I told my dealer when I ordered my 2018 that it HAD to be on the car or I would not take delivery. They still haven't 100% confirmed it would be on the car I ordered. And has been previously stated in this forum, the Smartphone Integration is only available on the Audio 20; not the COMAND.

I was told my car would be built in Sept and delivered around late Oct. No idea if those dates are accurate or not.

FWIW...

GGWB 07-27-2017 03:11 PM

I am little confused. I want the "Smartphone Integration Package (868)" and the "Premium driver assistance package (997)", But the Multimedia Package is not available with Smartphone Integration Package (868) and premium driver assistance package (997) requires Multimedia Package (320). does this mean I can not have them both?

mcbc220 07-27-2017 03:33 PM

If I'm reading this right, the suspension options are. I more and AMG is just an appearance package

Most likely have to pick one over the other. MB really screwed the pooch with CarPlay/Android Auto. The Audio20 is a sea of black plastic and slow performance.

You are totally correct. The 2018 C300 just showed up on MB website. I played around the configuration. The premium driver assistance package and the Smartphone Integration Package cannot coexist. I have not had a Mercedes for almost 7 years, and the BMW I am driving also does not have those latest safety features. Now I have to decide which package is the most important for me. 

Get a new BMW instead and you can have both Carplay and radar cruise control.

Allow me to rephrase: looks like Airmatic is no longer available in the US on the W205 for MY18.

How's the C350e?
Don't know why, C350e is not coming to Canada.

It's a good car, let me commute my few km to work Electric. It's heavy though, far from the driving experience I had with my BMW. But it's a very comfortable and more quieter car. But if you don't get any benefits on govermental taxes, dont bother, the only reason I bought it is because it's 10000$ cheaper than C250.

Yeah I saw that coming. When I wanted a 16 with AirMatic there were exactly four new AirMatic equipped C's in the US. I ended up building one, because very few dealers ever ordered the package for their inventory cars.

It's unfortunate, because depending on road conditions it's really nice to be able to flip a switch and get a very different suspension set up, but I guess for most buyers it wasn't a necessity or priority.

Is it possible they just forgot to add the Smartphone Package into the description of the Multimedia Package and it is already included?

Smartphone package and multimedia incompatible. You have to choose one or the other.

the CLA multimedia package including smartphone package

I beg to differ with you. Smartphone integration cannot be ordered with multimedia on the CLA. Go to MBUSA build site.

did you LOOK ??
on multimedia package, it listed "Includes Smartphone Integration Package ($350) "

dieseldoc 08-02-2017 10:02 AM

I did the build on the site. cannot be built together. I have also discussed this issue with my dealer. Mercedes will not integrate smartphone on any of their cars with multimedia package/command. I wish they did. Message Fabrisd1. He works for Mercedes. He will tell you the same thing.

I just looked at details on site. It is included. Very interesting. My apologies. Dealer has told me cannot combine for any of their cars.

xEryx 08-02-2017 11:21 AM

That is why I said it is possible it is just missing from the MM pack in the MY18 C Class and not that it is not possible to have both, that would be stupid. CLA has it under MM pack and they should have the same or similar NTG5.

The CLA has had Carplay for over a year, the version of COMAND is different than the one on the C. Unless MB can make a breakthrough on the C it looks like it won't be available until the facelift.

I really enjoyed it on my C300. I suspect dealers weren't ordering because of previous generations of Airmatic and the associated issues. The average buyer, admittedly, wouldn't risk it or be willing to spend the money. Like you, I REALLY wanted it and built a car with it.

The adjustable dampers on my C43 are nice, but a totally different approach and purpose.

Airmatic made the W205 feel much more like the mini S-class it looks like. Oh well.

I ordered one on July 7. Salesman's guess was that it would arrive in late September or early October.

Since I ordered, the 2018 C300 has shown up on the MB website. Compared to the ordering guide, the website price for the base C300 sedan is lower, $40,250 versus $40,600 in the guide. The dealer showed the premium driver assistance package as $3050, versus $3300 in the ordering guide and on the website. So MSRP has dropped $100 for what I ordered.

I guess the same is true for the Luxury Package. And I wonder if you can delete the standard sunroof? I don't like that thin fabric on the headliner (lets in too much sun).

AFAIK the 2018s went into production in June/July .. No idea of individual plant's production schedules..

carguy92 08-30-2017 06:15 PM

Looks like the DOG was updated to address some of the missing info:
  • MSRP did drop to $40,250 from previously communicated $40,600
  • AMG Line 'Sport Package' still includes the Sport Suspension, Sport Steering & Sport Brakes from MY17
  • Standard sunroof does not have the flimsy shade of the Pano Roof - Has the solid shade of an E300
  • Issue at the plant seems to have blocked 737+739 until further notice

I'm just glad the stupid Premium Package Scheme that Mercedes had going is gone. Will hopefully replace my '16 with a refreshed version in two years. Audi has Apple Car play and Android Auto as standard equipment in many of their vehicles, and the best part? You can also have the MMI Nav system. Not sure why BMW and Mercedes don't just make the feature standard.

Yes, definitely. What I still find bothersome is the fact that the Advanced
Driver Assistance Package is still linked to the Multimedia Package/COMAND system. I find it weird that they can't offer it on every model as a separate add-on.

I like the 2017 better.. especially since they took the wood off the doors... 2018 look cheaper

RemmyZero 09-05-2017 12:25 PM

Can anyone confirm that the driver and passenger sunvisors are also changed/improved to have more side coverage? I'm looking to see if these can be swapped into the 2016 W205. It's one of my biggest gripes sadly.
