W205 Mercedes Benz OEM Media Interface Consumer Cable Kit

Does anyone have this on their car?

How does this work? Will this work on early model W205? like 2015 model and 2016 models?

Watch this video at the 4:00-minute mark it shows screen mirroring on the W205. This done from the OEM Kit Multimedia? I've always though we needed aftermarket video interface w/ wifi or usb mirror~

Any information would be great! Thanks!!

The cable shown is identical to the ones sold for the W221 S Class from 2010-2013. There is a female version of the center cable in the glove box. You plug that into the car, connect your device and then you can select either Aux or IPod from COMAND. The 221 had no Bluetooth audio so that MMI cable was it for connecting a phone.

Basically the cable does exactly what the built in USB ports in the 205 do, absent the Aux In option, and there's nowhere in a 205 (at least in the US) to plug it into. The screen mirroring thing is aftermarket. Cool though.

I just really want to get screen mirroring going to stream Netflix and YouTube for the long drives. Eliminate the need go download and USB....
