2014 C250 Bluetec Rub Rub Noise
Hi,
I bought my car in Feb 2017 with 30,000 miles on it. (It is a saloon AMG Line Premium Auto). Since then it has developed a kind of rub rub noise from the wheels (I think) which is easy to hear at low speed. Once you get going it just merges into background noise. I took it to the local MB dealer and asked them to look into it. They came back at the end of the day and said it was a normal thing. They tried to explain that it was to do with the beading of the tyres (?) and that after a certain amount of wear the tyres started to make this noise....Nothing they can do. They said they had removed all the tyres, cleaned the beading and rims, lubricated them(?) and put them back. The noise is still there. I was wondering if this is actually a phenomenon and if there is a solve...
My tyres are Continental 245/40/R 18 Y ContiSport Contact SSR I understand they are run flats.
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!!
