Anybody order a 2018 C Class yet?
I just rec'd a brochure with package numbers from my local dealer. He said it'll take about three months or so.
It does have Apple Carplay (smartphone integration) - thank goodness!!!
He didn't provide any other details about when the 2018 C Class W205s will be in the dealership.
Anybody else order one yet? Or go through the process yet?

I've used Apple Car Play on the last two rental cars (business trips). I honestly wasn't real impressed.
This was on Mustangs, maybe it's better on MB?

Do you have a source other than something a sales guy told you?
Here's the problem. Adding the double widescreen (available now in the E and S) would require a complete redesign of the W205 dashboard. A complete redesign of the dashboard would require all new crash testing. I just don't see it happening.
But if you have a source other than a comment by a Mercedes sales rep (typically the least informed people about MB on the planet) I'd be happy to take a look at whatever you've got. Can you post a link?

Obviously your dealer could not have ordered three (or any) facelift 2019 C Class since they're not building the 2019 C yet and certainly were not in May of 17.
There are several facelift 2019 C testing mules running around and some have had their interiors photographed. They have new steering wheels and touch pads but none have been seen with a dual widescreen. Given that the dual widescreen would be a major change, you'd expect to see it on the test cars.
Aside from rumor there's zero indication the 205 is getting the dual widescreen, but if you ever find proof (photos, order guide, MB press release, automotive press article) I'd be happy to admit I was wrong.

I well know what I said. But why do you claim that they could have ordered 2019 facelift? Why could they not have ordered 3 for demo and show car purpose during launch late next summer? I only say what I have been told, so I to await to see one in real life. Nothing is 110% given before that time.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Your dealer cannot "order a demo" (or three) of a car that doesn't exist yet and won't start being built for another year. Dealers also cannot order "show cars".(?)

Sure.
1) The new MY car is slated to enter production on a given date.
2) The manufacturer will no longer accept orders for the current order guide after a given date.
3) The new order guide is published and supplants the previous one, which is now obsolete. The updated guide reflects new colors, trims, options and packages and may delete some previous ones.
4)The dealer can then order cars from the new guide for customers. The dealer may also use the new guide to place orders for inventory cars based on that dealer's allotment.
The next order guide will be for MY 2018, not 2019.

On this side it is not uncommon that importers/dealers are assigned cars for demo and showcase (not inventory) long before the cars even hits the press. We have only one importer that are allowed to import directly from manufacturer. They are each year given a surton amount of cars that can be imported. If they sell more than this nummer they must buy some of an other countrys quota. This is why, and specially before a launch, its given way ahead. Call it a queue nummer. On this cars they cannot decide what they get regarding colors, engines and so on, they must take what they get.

The MSRP for the 2018 C300 sedan with 4matic is $42,600 up from $41,500 for the same model in 2017. However, the 2018s have a glass sunroof as standard equipment where it was not available last year with only the panoramic sunroof as an option. Additionally the 9 speed automatic is now standard versus a 7 speed in 2017.

Hi Guys, Im from Singapore and have been looking to purchase a C Class w205 and my dealer has offered me a "panoramic screen option" however this car can only be delivered in 2018. I believe Mercedes is bringing this feature into the C class models in their facelift.

As far as I now know is that it won't be like the E class, but the analog dials in the facelift will be offered as digital screens although it will be shades as today. And the Comand system will be offered as a larger and wider screen
