I have the Lux, but I can just about guaranty that the V with its potent engine and controllable suspension, is a real flat out performer. Just would love to have a V coupe, but way too expensive for me.

You just have to get past the interior. Really just the instrument cluster and CUE. Apparently the 18's (or maybe 19's) are getting an updated CUE. I hope they rework the IC too.

+1. I've driven both, and the coupe barely feels like it shares DNA with the sedan. The coupe is classic Mercedes solid. Doesn't feel like a cheap-class, tinny Mercedes-lite. Suspension is improved too. Anecdotally I'd say it's closer to the Sport suspension in the sedan but with much better damping (you know when you hit a bump, but you dont feel it nearly as much, and there's no "extra" second bounce or anything like that--in normal Mercedes fashion, you feel bad for the pothole). Cabin is quiet, and the doors are bank vault heavy. I'd have no problem buying a
coupe. I'd only lease the sedan if it were a great deal.

I'm deciding between the coupe and an ATS for my next car. The ATS has BMW handling, no doubt about it. Fantastic driver's car. But the gauges and CUE and reliability/build quality concerns have me worried.
