Is it possible to replace the luxury grill with the sporty one?
 

Hello guys,

I'm wondering if someone has tried to replace the luxury grill with the sporty one (or vice versa).
I really like everything about the luxury trim except for the grill (it looks too classic for my taste).

I tried searching around the forum and there is only one thread with a similar question that is unanswered.

I would go with the two strips grill or the diamond one, as long as it fits cleanly in my car.

Ha! I am doing that today! I managed to get the entire bumper lose from the top and sides and not just have to figure out how to get it free from the center bottom and then you can remove the bumper and change the grill. First time is a PITA but I think for the second time I can do the entire thing in 1 hour or 1.5 hours tops vs. the 3 hours that I spent yesterday trying to figure **** out.

I can tell you that the instructions are the ****tiest that you will find on this forum in the PDF but if you are handy enough and have some logic on cars then you should be able to figure it out yourself with those basic instructions.

Thanks a lot! I was worried that the whole grill might not even fit (different dimensions for example).
Knowing that it fits is great. I think I came across that PDF, but most people were just replacing sporty with another sporty.

If you don't mind, can you post us a picture of the car before and after? I would really appreciate it.

Here are some before and after pics! Finally got it done...phew! Took me a total of 3 hours including fitting the grill in as it was a PITA to fit it in the hooks on the bumper. But some muscle work and everything clipped in super!Attachment 414395Attachment 414393Attachment 414394

I was actually was referring to the luxury (exclusive line grill). Just like the picture below.
I'm not sure whether the sporty grills would fit in the car instead of that one or not.

That's not the change the OP is wanting to make.

I am sure you will need a new bumper also.
When you have the adaptive cruise control, there is a big chance you need to replace that too.
Also you need to replace the hood ornament with a flat MB logo. But i guess that is the last thing to worry about.

Try checking the part numbers for engine hoods for a sport or luxury and see if they're the same. That hood in the picture in this thread looks different than the one on my '15 sport package.

Well.... the answer is No... the front end configuration of the Luxury nose is different than Sport

I have the Avantgarde C300 that looks like the bumper is from the Luxury side minus the Luxury grill. I want to change the grill to Luxury but was not sure if it even was possible. Let us know how it goes!

eBay - I think the seller is muscle leopard, if I remember right.

Anyone? - I wish to fit the Luxury grill. Anyone have one for sale?
