Good News!

Got my car back from the dealership that previously asked me to take the car elsewhere...And It is virtually perfect!!! New High Pressure pump was the answer for the engine issues that arose after the wrist pin repair. No more speaker rattles (except when using the phone...which I was told would never go away). The acoustic glass replacement worked wonderfully, though I am going to have to get the rears done now, as the wind noise shifted to the back, but an extreme improvement over the stock glass. The door panels were all replaced and do not rattle with normal driving any more. After all of the struggle I went through and the back and forth, it seems that I finally have a MB worth what I paid for it lol. The show this weekend got postponed due to weather so I hope to spend some time getting the splitters I designed put together and hopefully installed. The car is currently getting it's first detail and 2 step paint correction now that all of the planned shop visits are complete and I can't wait to get it back tomorrow AM.

There is hope after all.

Cheers,

Drew

Everything was serviced under factory warranty, CPO warranty kicks in November this year. I have paid exactly $0 for any maintenance on this car since I bought it.

looks great! I actually remember seeing yours when I first started planning this thing out. I agree, the red calipers are nice, I plan to have mine done in the coming weeks. Have my carbon lip kit arriving today and then the calipers are next. Do you not still have the c400?

Update;

carbon lip, sideskirts and rear side splitters came in on thursday and bad news. The front lip was cracked right down tge middle with no obvious damage to the box. The skirts came in 80mm too long (believed to be the difference between asian c200L and European and North American versions). I purchased all pieces from jcsportline on tge reccomendation of an instagram follower who had the front lip only. Plus side, they are being pretty responsive and sound interested in correcting the issue.

If I wanted to lower a comfort suspension to stock oem sport level, would I just buy new springs? Is that all you need for parts? I know nothing about lowering.

All you need are springs. Factory struts should be fine with any moderate lowering springs. I actually have a set of brand new un-opened Eibach Sport springs that I originally ordered for my car before I went with Coilovers for adjustable ride height. Pm me if you are interested, would let them go for $200

Thanks, i have more research to do first. can you also suggest a good amg full body kit supplier? I see an ikon kit on ebay for $1300.

i basically want to turn a comfort c300 into a sport with body kit and lowering.

OK, As promised I have pictures, and (knock on wood) I think the car is pretty much done at this point, at least all the big stuff (save the turbo upgrade).

The engine cover should be back to me by the end of next week.

*to be clear, to this point, no companies have provided any of the products on this car, the following is simply my honest feedback.

The front lip here is from JL Motoring in California. For the price I think it is an exceptional value. I also have the cover that replaces the factory front splitter with their carbon version. These guys were fantastic to work with and got this stuff too me very quickly, as I have the first big show of the year this Sunday.
The side skirts came from Carbon Best, and though they look good in pictures, I would not recommend them. As soon as some one comes out with a similar style that fits the body lines better I will be replacing these. They work for now.
Also new, Motorsport Hardware stud conversion and Titan Black Lugnuts. This setup gives me quick wheel changes and better yet allow me to experiment with spacers. Solid setup from those guys, I highly recommend them.
The H&R VTF adjustable coils are bottomed out in the back and about a quarter travel left in the front. Super happy with these. Next season I will go with narrower tires in an attempt to go a bit lower up front, but happy with this fitment for now.

The Dealership has since solved all issues I had after the wrist pin fix. This car is unbelievable to drive now. Very fun and it gets plenty of attention. I will continue to update this page as new things come out and the project changes but I will be waiting for Turbokits.com to do a few installs and hear some feedback before I pursue that any further. I do still plan to go in for a custom tune at the end of this month and will get dyno charts etc. for you guys. thanks for following along and I will post the video as soon as I finish filming.

- Drew
