How to turn off touch pad

I'd like to use my touch pad as an arm rest instead of a touch pad. How do I turn it off so it doesn't mess with the radio when I put my hand on it. I don't find it particularly useful

I don't think that is an option with Audio20. I have only seen it mentioned in Comand systems, but really wish I could turn it off as well.

I use the touch pad as a palm rest all the time. It's smart enough to know that if you have a palm on it the touchpad wont register any input. Actually if you have anything more than one finger on it it will not register taps and only pinch/zoom gestures.
