Can ACTIVE BRAKE INTERV be activated?
Hi
I did a VIN check on http://carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/mercedes - VIN WDD2052041F124979
I see that "Parameter 258 -COLLIS.WARN. SYS. W/ ACTIVE BRAKE INTERV. FCW STOP" is listed, but from my experience, my W205 is not equipped with ACTIVE BRAKE INTERV.
Or is it and needs to be activated?
Today it only works as a warning system.

My 2015 C300 has active brake collision prevention. It has kicked in 2 times when the car in front of me slammed on their brakes hard at the last minute. It also tightens the seatbelt as it initiates the brakes too, which provides a nice safe feeling.

I find the Mercedes system is calibrated to be very “last second”. It will literally only interfere at the last moment.
This isn’t ideal if the street is wet as there is a good chance you’ll still hit the car in front of you.
Toyota/Lexus system is also very last minute but gives audible warnings earlier.
The Nissan/Infiniti system is very early just like Tesla.

I think it's a good thing the active braking part is last minute because it doesn't know what else is happening around it or behind it, and could cause worse accidents by hard braking at the wrong time.
