Possible to retrofit distronic+ on C400?
Looking for some expert advice...
I have blind spot assist, brake assist, auto high beam assist, and 2 cameras in the windshield. No lane keeping or any other drivers aids. When I scroll to the assist settings in the cluster, I have an option that shows the road in front of me, but obviously no other graphic (cars ahead or lanes activated). Wondering what I would need to retrofit distronic+other than the radar and emblem? Thanks!

Contact Mercedes-Benz NL (website, because it based in Nederland) he can be able to give you a quote for how much for the retrofit distronic.
Most of US MB dealers would not touch it (cost too much). Better (for the money), sell your car, buy another equipped with distronic (save the money, save the headache if something goes wrong, you MB dealers will (more likely) refuse to repair your car with the retrofit).

Thanks, everyone. I picked up my car from service this afternoon, and the service advisor ballparked it at over $10k to retrofit. Too bad, as I really enjoyed it in the loaner I had for a week.

distronic+ is really great.
when you sleepy on freeway, just set it to cruise control.
then you don't need to concentrate on the cars in front of you if they brake or not.

I like using it for stop and go traffic. I would be nervous to use it if I was sleepy. It's not perfect. It certainly isn't "auto-pilot". Sometimes, it needs to be overriden if a car abruptly moves into or out of your lane in front of you. Still, for those hour+ commutes in rush hour traffic, the system is very helpful in reducing stress (for me).
