DINANTRONICS Sport Performance Tuner for 2.0L Turbo Engines W205 Question
Quick question.
After installing the DINANTRONICS Sport Performance Tuner for W205 what happens to the MB modes already built-in.
Do you just drive in C and switch modes using the Dinan? How does it work? Can you still use the Mercedes S+ mode? A bit confused.

I would recommend switching all modes as you normally would using the MB button on the console. Using the dinan app to constantly change the boost level (which if I recall were named "valet", "sport", "sport+", etc.) would be a pain to do on the fly while driving. The only time I ever used the dinan app was at the dyno shop to see what the differences were when I did my test pulls (switching it to stock and sport between runs). Other than that I set the dinan to "sport", left it there all the time and just switched modes via the MB console button. I also have airmatic so it was more beneficial to me to use the MB console button so I could adjust my suspension as desired. You'll still see a difference between C and S+ when you leave the dinan setting alone. If you find your gas mileage is suffering you may want to switch the dinan modes. Hope this helps.

I am currently in research mode on the Dinan vs other option and usage.

Just purchased a 2016 C300 myself. Warranty expires in December of this year so doing my research on some minor updates now.
Thanks for explaining all that. My first Benz and I've never tuned before. Everything previous was high displacement muscle cars. So squeezing it out of a 4 banger turbo is new for me.
Would love to hear your thoughts and results on this tuning product!

I think it was pretty worthwhile for the price and ease of removal. I posted dyno gains in the following thread. Scroll to post #34:

You can only switch the modes on the Dinan with the car off. I just leave the Dinan on Sport which i think is supposed to add +3 or 4 psi. Nothing crazy but you will feel better responsiveness. I also added BMS intake, really enjoy the sound on the intake. Turbo sounds good as well.

I have the dinan installed on my C300 4matic, you can toggle between both modes on the car and on the app. The app just alters your tubro inlet/outlet pressure modes and allows more boost. The performance is slight to moderate but deff a good bang for the buck. I've noticed MPG increases as well with this plug and play tuner.
